Not long ago, I stumbled across heavy metal covers of the Nyan Cat theme song, We Are Number One, and the Thomas The Tank Engine theme song. I'm not kidding. There's even proof at the top of this page!
Now, any sane person would be thinking the same thing I did the first time I heard these: Who thought this was a good idea? WHY does this exist?!
I honestly thought that nothing would make me cringe more than these. But boy, was I wrong!!!
Moral of the story: now matter how cringy something may be, there's always something else on the internet that's even cringier. The same thing goes for the insanity of fangirls and shippers.
