First Contact
It's really hard to remember when I started to use git as I did a part of my early learning on paper without access to a computer.
I think I started writing software complex enough to have versions around the middle of high school.
I wasted hours if not days rewriting code that I lost in the creation process, mainly because I was coding my ideas as they came without organisation or anticipation.
I heard of Git through online course but at the time I never used it.
My first real contact was my first year of engineering school, when I started to use it everyday, without really knowing how it works.
How did I learned?
In my first year of bachelor I used GitLab's API for a school project and I discovered how much I didn't know about what is git. I try to learn by reading GitLab's Docs and reading Git and Git Flow's man pages.
The more I learned, the more I was interested in learning and above all practicing.
With time I discovered the existence of a book about Git called "Pro Git 2.0" and the self-isolation imposed by the Covid-19 outbreak allowed me to take time reading it.

Non-FictionThis is a mix between a diary, a tutorial and a manual, but honestly it's mostly a diary because no-one in my surrounding want to hear about cool Git is. I describe here what I'm learning about Git, and I share my reflexions about this new knowledge...
