Being a virologist, a big duty was imposed on Evan's father. During outbreak of a disease caused by the Corona virus, he had to leave his son at home. He was called to serve for the research of this Novel Corona Virus and try to find cure of this disease with a group of scientists.
He didn't wanted to leave Evan alone in this phase of natural disaster (which this disease truly was) but he had to serve his duty for welfare of so many people (if they are successful). He gave Evan's nanny, Beth ( who had served him for 8 years, since the year Evan was born as his mother died giving birth to him), last piece instructions as he was ready to leave. He enfold little Evan in his arms a lot of things crossing his mind, he knew that it was not safe outside, he thought that maybe while researching or being outside this disease he might contract it too, he thought he might not return back home, he might not see Evan's face again, he was the only important thing he had, his mind was satisfied that Evan would be safe at home, he squeezed him tighter and then pulling away he saw him to the fullest and then left.
Evan was stronger than his father, he said a goodbye without a tear in his eyes and a smile plastered on his face. He said soothing words to his father like, "I am all grown up boy Papa. I'll be alright. I'll take care nan too. You have a great job to do. Don't worry about me." When he see off his Papa, he had his dinner a little while later , said "good night" and dashed to his room. You'll have to make tribute to this little 8 year old boy's control over himself. As he reached his room he shut the door, sat by it giving all of his emotions to fall out. He was sad, really very sad. His Papa and Beth was all he had in the world and now he his Papa was away and he didn't knew when he would return. He knew that he wouldn't be able to contact him much too as mobile phones weren't allowed in research laboratory where his father worked. He went to bed crying and slept.
Next day wasn't a new one but Evan planned to make it and following days, till his father came, special. He planned to write a letter to his father telling him the account of his daily life and would show him when he'll be back home. He thought that he'll have to make his every day special so that his father would like it. Here are some of the Letters he wrote:
Day 1
Dear Papa,
This is the first letter I am writing to you. As you already know we don't have school now, so the days are rather boring. But I am trying to make them fruitful. So to reach this purpose I have started teaching me new things.
Today I read a lot of new from dictionary Nan taught me how to pronounce them. Some of the words are:
Alacrity
Amiable
Appease
Arcane and many more.
Miss you Papa. Hope you come soon.
Love,
Evan

Day 8
Dear Papa,
Today I wasn't in a mood to read or learn anything. A week has passed since you're gone. I wasn't feeling like doing anything because I was missing you. But I forced myself to do something and practised playing violin. I played it all day. The instrument resonated what I had in my heart. It made feel light but also heavy.
I am sorry Papa that I am sharing this with you, but I needed to write it. It really makes my heart lighter. When I write to you I feel like I get to talk to you. MISS YOU SO VERY MUCH.
Love,
Evan

Day 28
Dear Papa,
Many days have passed since your are gone Papa. Many days have passed since this disease have caused so much of havoc in this beautiful world. For many days we have been locked down in our home. In our streets there are many who are still not following this lock down. I don't get why these people don't care, not for their lives and not for other people's life. They are too selfish to just see what they want and not what we need. I am sick of these kind of people's.
Changing the topic, I have been reading Shakespeare these days along with other things.
Miss you Dad.
Love,
Evan

Day 112
Dear Papa,
A lot of people have contracted this disease here. People are so fearful to walk out. They don't have anything to eat but are also not accepting anything from others. They are starving. It is painful to see people starving like that.
It is painful to see people dying on streets coughing and crouching in a corner. What is becoming of this world.
Love,
Evan

Love you Papa.
Love,
Evan
Days later when his father returned with a smile on his face not knowing what has happened, it broke him apart when he got to know that he lost everything.
