"Bitaw! Para kang anghel na bumaba sa langit Ma'am!"

“Actually, I like your color more. I like tan.” nakangiti kong sabi

Kaya nga gustong gusto kong magbeach eh, gusto ko kaseng magtan. I can't wait to fly to LA na tuloy. I'm really gonna burn myself under the san with fine sands clinging into my body. Oh, I'm so excited!

“Ay ganun talaga ma’am, bali kaayu, kaming mga taga probinsya gustong gusto ang kutis nyong taga Manila habang kayo naman ang may gusto sa amin! 

True. Nakakatuwa siya.

“Matagal pa ba yung amo mo?” hindi na makapaghintay kong tanong
Ilang oras kaya ang byahe ko tsaka pati ba naman dito eh maghihintay ako?

Who does he think he is to  make me wait? If not because of the annulment papers, he's not worth my time.

“Kadalasan po gabi na yun umuuwi ma’am eh. Busy ho kase iyon parati sa munisipyo. Nakaayos po yun umalis kanina, baka may formal meeting." aniya

Okay. I can wait for a couple of minutes pa naman.

“Abogado siya, right?” I asked innocently

Pagpasensyahan nyo na, wala talaga akong kaalam-alam tungkol kay Diego. I have never met him and honestly, I never see him as my husband. I don't care about him nor do I care about our marriage but since I am in this kind of situation, I somehow wished I cared for him para naman may alam ako kahit papaano.

“Opo ma’am. Abogado rin ho si mayor.”

My lips parted and I was stunned by her answer. What?!? Mayor? Who the heck is the mayor here?

“Ha?”

“Mayor ho ng aming syudad si ser ma’am, hindi nyo po ba alam?” nakakunot noo nyang tanong

"Alangan! Mao gae nangutana! Shunga man diay ka La oy!"

What the fuck? Bakit hindi na naman ako sinabihan ni attorney tungkol dito? Kaya ba sinabi niyang ‘very respected individual’? He should have told me about it so I would know atleast!

I don't care if he's a mayor or not okay, I just want to know! Well, does that make sense?

I was taken aback so I didn’t respond quickly.

“Ayan na po ata si ser ma’am.”

I can hear the sound of a car. I guess, she’s right?

But wait, mayor?

Omg.

‘Rancho, mansion, mayor?’

Kung kanina sigurado akong matanda nga si Diego, mas sigurado ako ngayon. Napapikit ako at trumiple ang kaba.

Okay lang yan Amanda, atleast, may ibubuga naman sa buhay ang future ex mo. Just treat him as your papa nalang. Shockssss.

“Nariyan ho,” dinig kong sabi ni Kuya Erning

Kabadong-kabado ako. Parang gusto ko tuloy umatras. This is my first time seeing him, ironic right?

Nang unting-unti bumukas ang pinto ay hindi ko kinaya. I closed my eyes and calmed myself.

Lord….please.

When I opened my eyes, I was greeted by a pair of mesmerizing deep grey eyes. Tila huminto ang ikot ng mundo at muntik nang umawang ang bibig ko kung hindi ko ito napigilan.

I broke our contact para pasadahan siya ng tingin. His nose were pointy, and his prominent jaw seems perfectly carved.  He had thick dark eyebrows, drawn to create a serious expression. His lips were red, and just by looking at it, it seems soft and kissable--oh no, wait, erase the kissable part! His hair is combed over it’s hard side. His face looked so hard and serious, perfectly molded. He wore a white dress shirt underneath his off-white coat and tucked in his off-white slacks. His aura screams authority and his looks seems….. unusual.

I can't believe I am seeing someone as... fashionable... and as handsome as him in a province like this!!

Hindi to si Diego, si Adonis to.

“Amanda,” tawag niya sa akin sa mas nakakabighaning boses, nagpapabalik sa katinuan ko

Lumunok ako at pinigilan ang lalong pagwawala ng aking puso. Tumayo ako at binigyan siya ng seryosong tingin. Kahit nanginginig ang sistema ko, I managed to still look confident.

“I—” hindi niya ako pinatapos, he cut me off while I'm freaking talking

Aba'y... bastos! Where are his manners?!? I am not someone whom he could cut off while talking!

“Let’s not talk here, follow me to my office.” He ordered with a dismissive and authoritative tone.

He passed by me and I had no choice but to follow.

I cannot believe this.
