She screamed like the world was ending. Like there was nothing left and everything she ever thought she'd had, had been taken from her. She screamed like a dying man trying to plea for help from a god he knew would never lend him aid.

But then, it all stopped. The pain dulled and the angry tones fell into the background her body slackened and she fell to the tiles in a relief filled heap. All of her senses felt dulled until the only thing she could feel was a soft warmth on her arm, not the burning from before, simply warm and comforting, a feeling she felt she almost forgot while she was tortured in a seemingly never ending loop. Her surroundings faded away, the tiled, bloodstained floor shattered until all that was left was light.

Ishi winced as she began to open her eyes, the pain reminiscent of her nightmare. It took everything she had not to scream, to panic. Her breath shook as she tried to stabilize herself and remember that she was okay, she had the bandages around her face, that was why she was uncomfortable, she was going to be okay. Once she decided that she was indeed okay, the first thing she noticed was Tamaki, she knew it was him by the way her snakes didn't stand on edge at the hand he had placed on her arm. "I'm fine" she mumbled, she listened as he fell back into his chair in apparent relief.

The second thing she noticed was Recovery girl, she was lecturing someone on the other side of the room. Ishi's ears twitched straining to hear the tell tale 'lecture voice' as she had dubbed it years ago.

"For heaven's sake All Might! you can't just keep letting the boy destroy himself! I refuse to be an accomplice in this boy killing himself!" She was angry, and Ishi wanted to just keep pretending to be asleep so she didn't have to get involved. She leaned back in her bed listening in mild glee as the number one hero got the lecture of a lifetime, she did not envy him.

Eventually she heard the curtain open as Recovery Girl left Toshinori and his charge in peace for a little while. "Are you feeling any better Ishi?" she asked as she walked by, Ishi nodded her head a small rustle of the pillow as the only indication to Recovery Girl that she had responded at all. "Okay then, Your friend woke up for a while earlier but I used my quirk to heal his head so he's asleep again, you might need to wait a while for him to wake up again" she informed them jumping into her chair and pulling herself toward her desk.

"Okay" Ishi mumbled, adjusting herself so that the tips of her fingers were holding the tips of Tamaki's fingers, almost like holding hands, but not quite. She was content to simply be there in the moment trying to recover from her nightmare, drawing on the peace and security that Tamaki emitted, that is, until the door came banging open as Present Mic barreled through it. "WHERE IS ISHI!" he shouted loudly, making Toshinori jump on the other side of the curtain and Hitoshi beginning to wake up.

"I'm right here, and I'm fine" she replied slowly raising her hand, Recovery Girl's quirk and her nightmare still leaving exhaustion down to her bones. Aizawa filed in behind Mic and Nemuri followed in as well, running up to her bed and fluttering about ensuring that she was indeed fine.

"You were supposed to stay in your room! The feed was live, you were safe, what was wrong!?" Nemuri cried out frantically.

"There are some things that make being somewhere worth being there, even if the thought of it terrifies you" Ishi replied solemnly. Gesturing toward Tamaki with one hand and where she assumed Hitoshi was with the other. "He cried for so long after he lost, did you hear what everyone was saying about him? He must have felt so alone and afraid, a lot like I assume Tamaki felt during his first tournament, I needed to be here for people like him because sometimes people just need to be shown a bit of kindness to feel like they're worth something, when nobody has ever treated you like you matter, the smallest actions mean the world" she said quietly, thinking about everything they had ever done for her and how she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that she could never repay them for it, about how despite the fact that she neither had it in her nor wanted to be a hero the way they were, she could do what she could do help out people in an everyday sort of way, if being nice to someone could save them, then she guessed she wanted to be an everyday hero.

A.N.  HEY! It's been a while! I have an excuse...I fell out of the bnha fandom for a very long time in favor of the haikyuu fandom (shoot me but I love that show and its characters so much), I also have a very much love hate relationship with bnha, but I was thinking about this story and I honestly love this story and the readers a hell of a lot and I've got a lot of time to kill right now, so, heres this chapter, It is by no means proof read at all, but it is written and really thats what matters. I've ended 3 chapters in a row with the concept of heroism and I'm kinda proud of it. I also have had a killer time trying not to turn this into a big three x ishi fanfic while writing this because a lot of haikyuu ships are poly and it made me think of it so much like when they were going into Recovery Girls I feel like that would be a perfect time for like mirio or nejire to do their thing, idk I kinda like it but I'm also trying to stay on track tell me what you think, maybe i'll do an omake about it. Speaking of omakes, I have in my head an omake based on the "Omg they were quarantined" scenario which I personally think is hillarious, I was actually going to write and post that before this but I changed my mind, it should come out in the next couple of days though so heads up on that. Thats about all I got at the moment but uh, sorry I was gone forever, hope you liked the chapter feedback is my favorite thing in the world, have a nice day/night, Bye!
