(Sam POV)

Dean obviously has his own assumptions as to what this is,why he's not telling me, now that I don't know. I contemplate this as I try to sleep, although the sound of Dean cleaning his guns starts to keep me up at some point around one A.M. I tell him he should get some sleep, mainly so I can, but he shrugs it off.

I hate how Dean does this, he lets things eat at him from the inside, when he knows I'm here. I'll always be there for Dean, no matter what I've done in the past, I wish he knew that we all have regrets and he isn't to blame. He walks around with this heavy weight on his shoulders, and there's nothing anyone can do to convince him he's done the right thing.

Dean and I visit the crime scene again at an attempt to figure out whatever this thing is. Eventually after Dean continuing to act as though he has no clue what this is I get fed up and ask him what he's hiding. " What are you talking about?", he responds, I badger him again knowing he'll brake eventually. " Dean I know all your tells, your not as good at keeping secret as you think you are so stop mopping around and tell me what's going on!"

Dean begins to explain his theory, going back to his trip to 2014  when it was 2009. I honestly don't know what to think as he tells me the croatoan virus spreads and Lucifer starts the apocalypse. Apparently I'm also dead in this version, and it all started in Detroit. I ask him why he would be so sure this is that rather than a measly case of  croatoan. "Because, Sammy, Lucifer said that we would always end up there, that there was no way around it."

I don't know whether I should believe it or not but something in Deans eyes says he does. Although Lucifer is dead, Dean seems all to sure to let his thoughts pass me by. I look around us at the places where the bodies had laid blood fertilizing the grass, this might be bigger than I thought.

I'm interrupted as as a gut wrenching scream comes from behind us, I turn not seeing what I expected. Rather than a deranged bloody croat ( croatoan infected person) I see a small child sitting on the ground, her hair concealing her face. I begin walking towards her as Dean stops me, " it's starting" I look back at him, confused. When I turn back the child as locked eyes with me, she releases another ear piercing scream, before I know it at least thirty croats are behind her.

I guess I know what Dean meant, the two of us start running with the group of them on our tail. They're to fast for us to stop at the impala, instead we keep running till we reach a fence.

Hi guys, author again just want to know you're enjoying the story and take any advice you may have. Also for the destiel shipper that comes later, I'd rather settle into the story first, but Castiels chapter is next.
