"Who- what-" I stuttered, looking between the stranger and my string that was now purple. He seemed to be just as confused. "Wheres Astrum?" I asked, trying to calm down.

She was asking where mom was. A stranger, who is supposedly my soulmate, knows my mom. "Shes- uh-" I stammered, unsure of how to respond. "Mom!" I yelled, turning on my heel and walking into the house.

The only thing I could think to do was follow. "Wait, shes your-" I was so confused. "Whatever.." I sighed. We'd have to figure this out later. Right now, I was more worried about getting my ass kicked because i ran away from work again.

"Mom!" I yelled again, glancing at the new person. Instead of Astrum coming down, though, it was Jeff. My dad. I heard the girl behind me gag.

"You again? Gods, I can never go anywhere without bumping into you, can i." I said, rolling my eyes. All Jeff did, however, was stare at the purple string connecting the strangers hand and mine.

"No. Nooo.. that cant be riiight." Jeff said, shocked. I looked at him, confused. "What do you mean?" "Shes a bitch! She would never be- there must be a mistake!" Jeff exclaimed, now angry. "Dad, chill-"

"Hes your dad!?" I exclaimed, looking at the kid. "No! No! That's not right!" I refused to believe that the kid my string was attached o's dad was HIM.

"Astrum!?" Jeff yelled, going back upstairs. "Oh lord.." I sighed, turning to face the girl. "Well, while that's happening, we might as well get to know each other. I'm Angel." I held out a hand.

"Mhm..Kaira." I responded, not taking his hand. "Angel is a weird name. Who names their kid angel?"

"Kaira is just as weird of a name." I pointed out.

"Fair." I smiled a little. Maybe this wouldnt be too bad.
