what he sees in me
is not what i see
and what i feel
when i seek for it—
but i believe in him.
and he believes in me.
so then,
he cleaned my wounds
and healed my scars,
he washed my face,
and he fixed my heart.
he held my hands
like a bandage to a cut,
then he smiled at me
that every now and then,
had i loved him so much.
