"But Amane..." Nene muttered. Hanako's heart dropped, and the two other school wonders looked at their leader with a sad look. Hanako swallowed hard, looking away for a moment.

He hid his sadness with a large grin, facing the two once again.

"Cheer up, you guys! There are fireworks too, come on!" He ushered the two sad humans to the banquet hall. The trio slowly walked in a line. A smile formed on Yashiro's face, seeing the two boys in front of her. She stopped in her tracks and opened her mouth to speak.

"It's too bad about the tags," The two boys looked behind them to listen to what she was saying, "But this was really fun."

They both smiled.

"Yeah."

They continued to walk, and as they got closer to the tree, the more crowded the place got. Somehow, Yako and Tsuchigomori managed to sneak their way to the front, while Nene was having a hard time keeping up with the two boys in front of her.

'There's a lot of people here,' Nene couldn't help but say in her head as she looked around. When she turned back at the two, they were already a distance away.

For some reason, she felt suffocated in between the people around her, and she decided to squeeze out. When she successfully was able to get out of the crowd, she realized she was somewhere near where they came from.

'I lost them,' She couldn't help but sulk on the ground, suddenly feeling scared and uneasy. A bunch of thought of her being lost in an unfamiliar world suddenly clouded her head. Someone walked in front of her, curious as to what happened to her.

"What are you doing there on the ground? Are you okay?" Nene could recognize that voice from a mile away.

She looked up to see the boy, who seemed to be in the age of an elementary student, exactly when Amane died. It was really him, Yugi Amane.

"A-Amane-kun!" She cried out of happiness, tears starting to form at the brim of her eyes. She instinctively hugged the boy tight and didn't want to let go in fear that he'll disappear.

She was so happy. It seemed that the gods finally listened to her prayers as she saw the young boy in front of her. Her heart was filled with warmth, and her eyes filled with glee.

"Huh, neesan? Why are you hugging me?" The boy looked at her weirdly, "Do I know you?"

Nene's heart broke upon hearing those four words. She couldn't believe that the boy couldn't remember who his best friend was. She immediately retreated from her hug, looking at the amber eyes she missed so much.

"Y-You really don't remember me?" Nene stuttered, feeling the tears in her eyes form even more rapidly. The boy shook his head.

Nene scrunched up her eyes started to cry. At last, her wish to see and talk to Yugi Amane was granted, but he didn't remember her? That was even more heartbreaking than being rejected by so many boys.

She gripped her skirt hard and subconsciously began to shake. She was going to have an emotional breakdown in front of the child. All of a sudden, she felt small hands touch her hand that was gripping her skirt. She opened her eyes to meet amber orbs staring at her.

"Don't cry, nee-san," Tears started to form in his eyes too, "You'll make me cry too."

Nene panicked upon seeing the tears from out of the young Yugi's eyes and almost all the emotions she felt just a few moments ago went away, "A-Ah! No, don't cry!"

Amane sniffled, "W-Why was nee-san crying? Did I make her cry?"

Nene looked at him softly, a small comforting smile plastered on her face, "Ah, no you didn't. Don't worry about it."

The young boy suddenly smiled, "Then, will nee-san accompany me to hang my tag on the tree?"

He showed her the tag, and to Nene's surprise, it was a red tag.

"A red tag," Nene couldn't help but stare at it in shock, "Where did you get that tag?"

"Oh, this? I found it at one of the shrines while I was looking for my younger twin brother, but I gave up looking for him, around three hours ago." Nene looked at the young Amane in shock. So, the red tag was hidden and not given from the stalls?

"Well, will you, nee-san?" Amane waited for her reply. Nene looked at him and smiled, I guess it wouldn't hurt to leave Hanako and Kou for a while.

"Sure!"

The young boy giggled, "But first, can we eat first?"

Nene stared at him a bit surprised, before nodding. She was too happy to even say anything.

So, we hit one thousand views in just twenty days.

Comparing that to my other stories, this is by far the quickest I've gotten a thousand people to read my work.

Thank you so much for reading! It means a lot to me that a lot of people have taken an interest in this story, and that means I've been doing a decent job?

I should probably not get too cocky, I mean, it's only just a thousand reads.

Although this may be a small achievement to some, it marks a great start. It means that a few people have started to see something in this story, so that gives me enough reason to keep going.  So once again, thank you for supporting and coming back (in other words, being consistent) to read!

Well, I'm running out of pre-written chapters... So I guess I have to start writing soon?

What a pain.

Just kidding, not.
