Missed you...

( In my story only Ram and Priya are staying in a house. Rest others(family members) are present but not staying with them)

Ram and Priya are pregnant with their first child. They both were madly in love and were longing for a child for the past 1 year. The moment Ram knew Priya was expecting their first child he called all his family members for a big, lavish party. The whole family were so happy for both of them and gave their blessings for the little one who is going to arrive soon.

The first month was a rollercoaster for priya. Ram was showering his love for priya by all the ways he could. Each day atleast one family member would come for visiting her and presenting gifts either for priya or the little one.

But gradually, Ram's attention shifted to work and his office. The times he spent with priya was decreasing day by day and the family members also had some reason for not coming to visit priya. She felt lonely during the weekdays, but weekends was the same though ram was in the house he either spent his time watching cricket, movies or doing some office work. He would be physically present but his presence did not help priya in any way. Their only conversation would be while eating and checking if priya had medicines. 3 months had passed but the situation was the same. He would come late often and dinner time with him would also been reduced as half of the times he had his dinner outside.

Present:

It was a usual day for Ram as he left to work at morning. Priya was hoping he would remember atleast this day but no he did not wish her. The whole family had wished her personally over the phone but her Ram did not remember this day. She was really hurt. She even tried hinting him by wearing the new saree he bought for her when he knew she was pregnant. Still he did not even look at her even once. She even had thoughts that Ram did not find her attractive because she was getting plump.

Ram returned by 3.00 in the afternoon and found priya sleeping in the couch. He gently caressed he cheek to which priya woke up and sat on the couch.

Priya: Hi, you came early. I will bring lunch for you.. Saying this she got up but Ram held her hand

Ram: I had my lunch. Can I talk to you? He sounded low..

Priya: Aapko permission lene ki zarurath hi nahi he Mr.Kapoor.. Boliye? Why are you sounding so low..Are you feeling well? Saying this she touched his forehead to check whether he is well or not..

Ram: Why do you care for me so much? Why do you do so much for me? Whereas I don't do anything for you..

Priya: What are you talking about Mr.Kapoor? Why are you talking like this.

Ram: Something happened in office today which hurt me very badly. A worker today got a call from hospital saying his wife is very critical. I asked him what had happened. He told me that his wife was pregnant and had gone for her regular monthly checkup alone in a auto-rickshaw. She faced an accident which affected her very badly.

Priya: What about the baby?

Ram: She had a miscarriage and the baby died.. Priya's grip on Ram got tightened and her hand automatically went to her stomach. She had tears which was on the verge of falling down.. I know what you are thinking about priya and I just want to say sorry from the bottom of my heart. I have been such a bad husband and a very bad father. I am really sorry priya. I don't know what happened to me. I know we both had been waiting for this moment for so long but I really behaved badly. I did not talk to you also properly. I did not take you to checkups also. I feel I don't deserve you and the baby. He felt her fingers on his lips.
