cali and i woke up the next morning distraught, (after a long night of screaming and crying and hours of sad movies and my mother giving us life lessons) and still extremely tired.

we both got up and walked downstairs to my mom, cooking us an amazing breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and eggs.

"i figured you guys needed something to motivate you this morning, so i thought i'd put my amazing cooking skills to use." my mom told us, smiling as we sat down at the island.

"you're amazing mrs. rose. this is exactly what we need." cali said, giving my mom the best smile she could, considering what had happened last night.

"yeah thanks mom." i said agreeing with cali.

"so what are you girls going to do today?" my mom asked us, and as cali started to explain that we currently had no plans and were probably going to watch netflix all day, i suddenly remembered the note michael handed me yesterday.

"be right back." i said, before running up the stairs and grabbing the small piece of paper off of my bed side table.

i slowly opened it up, worried as to what michael could've written inside, to find a phone number.

i was guessing he gave this to me so i would text him or call him as soon as possible, and even though i was still angry and upset, i decided it wouldn't be the worst idea to text innocent little mikey.

hey mike, its alex

as i waited for a response, cali walked into my room.

"hey what's up?" she asked me, coming to sit next to me on the bed.

"michael gave me his number yesterday right before i ran inside, so i just tex-" before i could finish telling cali what was going on my phone "dinged", indicating i had a new message.

mc: oh my god i thought you'd never text me! can we talk?

ar: sure.

mc: ok can I come pick you up? i promise i won't take you to our place or bring any of the boys, we can go to like mcdonalds or something i just really need to talk to you

ar: ok see you in a bit

"what is happening? is that michael?" cali asked, desperately trying to see my phone.

"yeah, he just told me he's going to come pick me up so we can talk and that he won't take me to their place or bring any of the boys."

"and you're going?"

"i mean, yeah. i want to know why they didn't talk to us for two whole years. i'll tell you everything when i get back okay? don't worry about it." i told her, giving her a reassuring smile (that probably wasn't so reassuring after all because i had no idea why i was letting a guy i hadn't spoken to in two years pick me up and take me somewhere to 'talk').

"okay, if you need me just call and i'll come pick you up and beat his ass." she said, giggling the slightest bit.

"you're the best friend ever, just so you know."

"i know."

sorry for the short chapter, it's just a filler sorry bye
