"Yea, here." Kian says as he reaches for my other hand. He helps me stand and i take my first step in 5 days.
I stretch my leg out and step again. Each step feels more and more like success.
"Babe, your doing it!" Sam shouts as he claps his hands.
Kian lets go and i feel like im going to fall but i keep my balance. I walk further and further.
"Call my nurse, i could leave today!" I tell Kian. He runs out of the room and i walk around the bed to Sam. I sit on the bed and kiss his cheek.
"Ms.Lawley, you can walk?" My nurse walks in and asks me.
"Yep, everything is finally back." I say excitedly. I stand up and walk over to the side of the bed where the nurse is and she sees me.
"You will be discharged today then, but you will have crutches in case, we also need to get you a cast for your leg." She says pointing to my left leg.
"But its not broken?" I say confused. I dont remember breaking it.
"Well the x-rays showed that you fractured a bone in your left leg. We will put a cast on in 10 minutes." She says as she leaves the room. I plop down on the hospital bed and look at Kian.
"We will sign papers then, come find us downstairs when you have your cast okay?" He says as him and Sam head towards the door.
"Okay," i say as they walk out.
After awhile the nurse comes it with the casting equipment.
"What color?" She asks me as she points to the colors. I try to remember which color Sam has.
"Purple", i say as i point to the color.
"Okay!" She says as she wraps it around the soft part of the cast. When shes done i find the elevator and press the button to go down.
When the elevator opens i see a person in a hoodie staring at me. I step inside and see that its Brandon. I panic and look for a way out. I press all the buttons and wait for the elevator to stop on the next floor so i can get off and take a different elevator.
"Why did you do that?" He asked me as he pulled down his hood. I stared at him in fear. I can still remember when he hurt me, and when he beat up Sam.
"I need to get away from you" I yell at him as the doors start to open. I start to walk out when he grabs my arm.
"Get off of me!" I scream as he turns me around to face him.
He stares at me and then pulls me closer to him. I try to escape his grip but he keeps a tight grasp on my arms.
"Please stop" i cryed as he put our bodies together. He leans toward me and kisses my lips softly. I cry and don't kiss back. The door opens on the next floor and i kick him is his balls and run out of the elevator and push the close doors button.
I press the button for the other elevator and it opens. I step in and push the first floor button. It slowly goes to the first floor and then opens. I walk over to the emergency room. I see Kian and Sam and they see me. Kian notices I'm crying and gives me a hug.
"Are you in pain?" He asks as he holds my shoulders.
"I saw Brandon in the elevator and he harassed me and forced to kiss me but i didn't kiss back." I say as i rest my head in the crook of his neck.
"He did what!! Where is he?" Sam yells as he grabs my arm and pulls me to him.
"I don't know i pushed all the buttons so it would stop on every floor and then i kicked him in his thing and ran." I say as i step closer to Sam.
"The next time i see him will be the last time anyone does, i promise that." Sam says as he hugs me.
"We have matching casts." I say as i point to his cast.
"We do don't we?" He says as he kisses me.
Sam is the only person i want kisses from. When he kisses me i feel sparks and butterflies form inside me. Every time i look at him i see all his perfections and beautiful imperfections. I always wonder how he thinks about me. And in the moment we kiss i know he does, love me.
"Lets go you two!" Kian says as he finishes filling out paperwork.
"I love you Sam" i say as i hold his hand.
"I love you too babe" he says as he wraps his arm around me. And in that moment i swear we were infinite. I read that in a book once. I love it so much. I think about it when I'm with Sam.
I sit with Sam in the back of Kian's car on the way home and think how grateful i am to be alive right now.
