Chapter 4

You were currently sitting in Sollux's room, rummaging through your bag while he was in the bathroom. You were on the search for the spare thing of aspirin you kept in your bag incase shit with your dad ever happened. Whispering in silent victory, you pulled the bottle out and took 2 of them. Sitting back on his bed, you watched the door in silence. Deciding it may be a few more minutes you got up, looking around his room. He had a lot of games and such already unpacked, along with his computer and clothing. Even though his room was full of boxes he was still neater than you. You quickly looked at the door as you noticed the door knob jiggling open, quickly sitting back down on the bed, only you didn't exactly do that. Instead you missed, falling off the other side of the bed. Sollux just kind of paused in the doorway, staring at you in confusion. He then slowly started to grin, trying to hold in his laughter only to fail and start laughing. You say up, grumbling to yourself and flipping him off. He soon collected himself, coming over and helping you up. You just glared at him, crossing your arms. "Y-you okay there, kk?" He asked, obviously trying not to laugh again. Looking at him quickly in confusion, you raised an eyebrow. "Kk?" "Its my nickname for you." he responded, a slight smirk on his face. You just rolled your eyes, now carefully sitting on the bed. "Whatever." You soon looked over, spotting a small clock on his bedside table. "Hey, uh, I have to actually go." you spoke up. 'Do you really want to go home??' well of course you didn't, but you weren't going to listen to your own thoughts. "Oh, you do? Alright." You then slowly stood up, walking downstairs to grab your bookbag. Turning, you saw Sollux right behind you, putting his jacket on. "What?" "Why are you putting your jacket on?" "Because I'm walking you home." your eyes widened a bit. What if your dad was home when you got there? You didn't want the kid you basically just met already involved in your family issues. "Nono I'm good, it's fine. You can stay here." He just snickered slightly, already opening the door. "You aren't going to convince me not to walk you home, so just move your ass already." You huffed, going towards the door to walk out. He gestured his had in the direction out the door. "After you m'lady." He said, you turning to look at him. "Ha ha. Very funny." He just shrugged, closing the door behind you guys. "I try."

You walked in silence towards your place, your hands in your pockets. Finally realizing how cold it is today, you held your jacket closer to you. It shouldn't surprise you, it is almost winter. Kicking rocks that littered your path, you stared at the ground. You soon reached your place, stopping and looking at the apartment building. "Well, I'm here, so you can go home now." You looked at him, waiting for him to respond. He nodded. "Alright. Well, I'll see you at school tomorrow. Bye KK." You muttered a small goodbye while watching him walk away. As soon as he was far enough away, you went to the door, slowly unlocking it. Letting out a sigh of relief at your dad thankfully not being home, you walked to your room, plopping your bag on your bed. You just decided to watch YouTube videos on your ipod, turning your light off in the process.

You soon heard the front door opening, freezing as you heard heavy foot steps go past your door, followed by another door slamming. You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding, realizing he must be too tired to even try and hurt you. Speaking of which, you decided to go to the bathroom off of your room and check your side out. Walking to the bathroom, you closed the door behind yourself and looked in the mirror, slowly and carefully peeling the shirt off your body, wincing slightly. Purple and bruised, just as you thought. You carefully ran your fingers over the large bruises, frowning slightly. Deciding to also check your wrist you looked down, noticing a slight purple ring around your wrist, but it looked like it was slightly fading. Deciding to take a shower while you could you stripped of the rest of your clothes, hopping into a warm shower.

After your long awaited shower, you sat on your bed, finishing drying your hair whilst scrolling through things on your ipod. Sighing, you decided to check pesterchum.((damn straight. They're humans, so pesterchum))
Nothing, just like you thought-wait what. Your mind was obviously playing tricks on you. You looked closer realizing that, yes, someone had actually messaged you. "Who the hell is... twinsArmageddon?" you muttered, slowly clicking on the chat.

--twinsArmageddon began pestering with carcinoGeneticist--

TA: hey there KK

CG: WAIT... SOLLUX? HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET MY PESTERCHUM..?

TA: ii may or may not have peeked at your iipod earlier.. oop2? and what2 wiith your quiirk?

CG: IT'S A LONG STORY. AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN *MY* QUIRK? I MEAN, HAVE YOU SEEN YOURS?

TA: what? ii liike two. iit2 cool.

CG: SURE IT IS. ANYWAYS, WHY DID YOU MESSAGE ME?

TA: ii dont know, cau2e ii wa2 bored?

CG: WOW. YOU'RE KIDDING ME RIGHT?

TA: ...no?

CG: OH WAIT. YOU REALLY AREN'T KIDDING. UM... WHAT DO YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT THEN?

TA: hmm... 20 que2tiion2? consiideriing we really dont know much about eachother.

CG: ALRIGHT, I GUESS II'LL GO FIRST. FAVORITE COLOR?

TA: wow kk, 2uch an oriigiinal que2tiion.

CG: JUST ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION.

TA: alriight, red and blue. now, favoriite movie?

CG: ... WILL YOU JUDGE IF I TELL YOU?

TA: no, ii promii2e.

CG: HITCH... AND YES, IT'S A ROMCOM.

CG: ...

CG: SOLLUX?

CG: YOU'RE LAUGHING, AREN'T YOU?

TA: what no, ii promii2ed

CG: YOU'RE TOTALLY LAUGHING

TA: eheheh yeah ii am

You looked away from the screen to hear your dad stumble into the house, a higher octave giggle following. He had another one night stand over. Great.

CG: HEY. SORRY FOR STOPPING 20 QUESTIONS OR WHATEVER BUT I WAS WONDERING... IS THERE A POSSIBILITY I COULD STAY AT YOUR PLACE TONIGHT? I MEAN, ITS BASICALLY THE WEEKEND.

TA: um yeah 2ure. ii2 everythiing okay there?

CG: YEAH, EVERYTHING'S FINE.

Wow you're a liar.

CG: I'LL BE AT YOUR PLACE IN 20 MINUTES.

TA: alright, see you then KK.

You got up, quickly packing a small bag of things, pajamas, iPod, ect. You then slowly made your way out of your room, hearing more giggles as you passed your dad's room, glaring in disgust at the door. Quickly and quietly, you exited the house, heading towards Sollux's place. Thank heavens he let you come over, you didn't want to listen to another night of your dad's many one night stands.

Hey there guys. I don't think some might have seen, but I stated earlier on that I might not update this constantly. Mainly I didn't update before because I've been preparing for exams in two weeks -.- lucky me. But I'm trying to get them out as fast as I can so ^~^ bare with me.
