Day one: an impulsive buy leading to intergalactic war

How could I know that ordering a simple crystal off of amazon would lead to my involvement in an intergalactic war?

It all started as a normal day, completing any schoolwork from home and the playing video games until bed. Nothing new. Once I finished my work, I had decided to go online window shopping. Browsing amazon had to be the bets, every category was on there and I loved to look through its cosplay library! As always, I got distracted and ended up in my recommended list. Obviously, it was filled with wigs and revision cards, but one item stood out from the others. A pretty crystal was visible in the list. I couldn't pick out exactly what colour it was, some strange mix between purple and red. I couldn't resist myself. So, I bought it. The delivery time was set for tomorrow (due to amazon prime), making me undoubtably excited for its arrival. With that on my mind, I exited amazon and closed my computer in order to play some games.

The next day arrived quickly, and my doorbell rang around 12 in the afternoon. Opening the door and collecting the package, I rushed to my living room in order to open it. The crystal was a lot bigger than I expected. Shiny, sparkly and luminous, it trapped my in an enchanted state. I couldn't stop staring at it. It got brighter; brighter until it was all I could see.

Then I blacked out.

And now we come back to present day, where I have been taken by the zpatherals, a race of aliens that are trying to save other species from oppressive leaders. Earth falls under this category, surprising nobody. Apparently, the crystal was some kind of homing beacon that tell them of a possible teammate. When someone is chosen, it realises a neurotoxin that temporally knocks a person out They are in war against these planets in hopes to free the entire universe. They have recruited me as a spy. Who would suspect a teenage girl? My job is to infiltrate government operations peacefully through career aspects (hence why they hired a teenager). Why picked be though, is beyond my recognition. Nevertheless, I have a job to fulfil.

And I do not plan on failing.
