The Girl and the Ape

Chapter 1

It was a normal day like any other day really. Karina drove herself down to the cafe down the street to get her usual 2 shot expresso. With no caffeine in her system she was a bitch.

She blasted "Take me to the pilot" by Elton John on her way there. Once she got there, she parked her Honda Civic down the corner and walked over to the nearest Starbucks.

"Hey Karina!" Susan the barista greeted.

"Hey" Karina answered back. No emotion whatsoever on her face.

"The usual?" Susan asked.

"Yep, the usual I gotta....can you hurry it up though I have to go run errands for my dad" Karina sighed.

"No worries hon" Susan smiled. So she went off and made Karina's coffee.

Meanwhile, Karina scrolled through her Instagram wondering what her friends were up to. Her friend Vicky was vacationing in Spain, having the time of her life while her other friend Ashiana was selling out arenas all over the globe. "Gees, wish my life was interesting" she murmured.

"Karina your expresso is ready darling!" Susan called.

Karina walked over to get her coffee and she thanked Susan. "Hey...has anyone told you, you look just like ozzy Osbourne....ya know the rockstar, the guy who bites bats heads off?"

Susan pauses and makes a face. "All the damn time.....all.the.damn. Time"

Karina laughs. "Well, see you later...OZZY" she teases before leaving the cafe. On her way out she nearly bumped into the towns flirt, Gayston. Gayston was well built, and was the spitting image of Adam Driver. "Oh shit sorry."

"No need to be sorry pretty lady" Gayston smirked. "The names GAYston."

"Gayston...?....as in gay...? Like GAAAAAYston...Gayston...wow" Karina asked

Gayston kept quiet for a bit. "........Yeah....SO ANWAYS!" He quickly said. "I've never seen you around these parts of town....you new?"

"Actually I've been living here for a week so yes, yes I am" Karina said.

"Well well well that's music to my ears" Gayston smirked. "Listen! You're a babe so how about I give you my number and we can-"

"Nah I pass Ben solo" Karina said a bit disgusted by his attitude. She began walking away.

"Hey wait! Come back!.....you haven't even touched my amazing locks yet!!!" Gayston called.

"BYEEEEE" Karina flipped him off as she walked over to her car. While driving she blasted "Im still standing" by Elton John. She was quite the Elton John fan.

She lived in the outskirts of the town, near the woods. It wasn't so safe to go out at night. As she drove down the road to her home, her wheel suddenly popped. "Fuck" she breathed. She turned off the engine and got out to check the tire.

"Yep...it's definitely popped" she sighed. She tried dialling her dad but she had no service. Worst part, the road was in the middle of the woods. She remembered the legend the towns folk said. The legend of Johnny the gorilla. He was said to lurk the woods at night, looking for his next victim. Karina definitely didn't wAnt to stay there until it got dark. But how could she get out if she had no service?

~6 hours later~

Karina tried and tried to get service but still, no service. It was starting to get dark. She laid on the hood of her car and listened to the crickets around. Then she heard a rustling in the woods. She stood at attention. "Who's there?" She called.

No answer.

Rustling again. "Who's there?" She called again. She frowned and grabbed a flashlight from her car, turning it on and pointing at the woods. "Okay this isn't funny who's there!?"

Suddenly she heard a heavy thing get on top of her car. She froze and she slowly turned around, only to see Johnny the gorilla on top.

She was petrified. Petrified to the bone.

Johnny made gorilla noises before he knocked her out with a slap across the face.
