Walking down the school hallway, I have a smile plastered to my face as always. It doesn't falter for one second. Around here, the only emotion I have is happy. I'm the person everyone goes to talk about their problems. People go to me because I give great advice and I'm trust worthy. I know things about almost everyone in this school, yet I've never told a soul. I don't believe in gossiping, it's a gross way to create fake friendships that only consists of trying to find dirt on everyone they hate. I've had a lot of fake friends just for that reason, they come to me acting like they want to be my friend then as soon as I refuse to tell them anything, negative or positive, about the person. They run. They run as far as they can.
To say I'm tired of it is an understatement. I never have anyone to talk to about my problems. I mean even if someone offered I would tell them that everything is going perfectly fine and I'm happy as usual, but behind closed doors, it's a totally different story.
"Hey Lis!" My best friend, Lexi, says walking up to me. We give each other a quick hug with smiles wide on our faces.
"Hey Lex! How ya been?" I ask, happily of course.
"Oh you know, same old. Overly stressed with school." She lets out a soft chuckle. I smile wider, if that's even possible. I jokingly roll my eyes at her response and she gives me a soft punch on the arm. Everyone at this school calls Lex and I the "best besties" because we have been inseparable since kindergarten. The name is kinda stupid because, well just think about it. It's the same word twice with a few extra letters on one.
"Oh yeah, I get stress." I say jokingly. Lexi doesn't even know what's truly wrong with me. That's how I know that no one expects me to be depressed. I'm good at hiding it.
"Oh please, you have the perfect life. You have straight A's, you're popular, and you have awesome parents!" She replies with a smile that's just a little too big to me. Little did she know what actually goes on inside my head and my home.
"Yeah yeah yeah, whatever." I say with an eye roll. "Let's go to homeroom." The bell rings a little after I say that and we start walking. Lucky for us, we have the same homeroom teacher. It's our only class together besides lunch though.
"Yeah, let's go." Lexi says, hooking her arm with mine as we head in the direction of our class.
I know basically everyone at this school and everyone knows me, I guess that's what comes with being the nice popular girl. It really is hard, sometimes all I want to do is be able to walk down the hallway with no one talking to me. That sounds like such a stuck up and bitchy "problem" but I really just need some space.
As I get to class and sit down next to Lexi, the bell rings signaling the start of homeroom. We go through homeroom as usual, finishing up last minute homework or playing on our phones until an actual class starts. After thirty minutes, homeroom ended with the bell ringing loudly in everyone's ears. I say my goodbyes to people and Lexi and I start walking to our lockers together. We get to mine first and I open it, grabbing my history textbook and notebook. We then head to Lexi's, her grabbing her stuff for whatever class she has next. We part ways there as we head to our respected classes. I walk into history as the warning bell rings, signaling one more minute to reach our classrooms. I smile to Mr. Hawk and head to my seat. As class starts, Mr. Hawk starts lecturing us about World War Two and the importance's of it. Fifteen minutes into his lecture, the door bursts open.
It's a student I don't even recognize which means he's probably new. He has messy and long brown hair, it's cute. He's wearing black ripped jeans and bright pink hoodie. It's a weird style, but I like it.
"Hi!" He says to the teacher with a huge smile on his face. "Sorry I'm late, my mum didn't tell me I was starting school today." An accent, I wonder where he's from. It sounds English but I could be wrong.
"Oh you must be Mr. Harrison." The teacher says greeting him with a polite smile as well. "You can sit in the back, in the empty chair there." He points to the desk two seats over from me. I smile knowing that I'll introduce myself sometime this period.
"Thank you." He says walking casually to the back of the class.
The class goes by really slowly today because of Mr. Hawk's lecture. That being said, I also didn't have time to talk to the new student until the very end of class.
I walk up to him in the hopes of learning his name. "Hi! I'm Felicity." I say with a genuine smile. I really do enjoy meeting new people, even if most of my happiness is fake.
A/N
I'm not going to do these notes regularly but I just wanted to see what you guys think so far. I know it's only one chapter but I've been debating about writing this for a while now. I've had a few requests to write another Dominic fan fic, that's why I chose to do this. My story doesn't relate to the real Dominic basically at all except his name and features. And most people reading this will know it's him. My last story was basically just an average fan fic that everyone dreams of happening in real life. This one is different. It's a complex story and both characters come from very different backgrounds. Thank you so much!
