Hope everyone is stung safe and doing well on this quarantine break/coroncation.
I took out my previous protective style about 3 weeks ago so I was rocking my natural hair for a minute now. Since I can't leave the house during this break, I decided to do Senegalese twists on myself. At first, I wanted to do passion twists (my friend did them on herself and they turned out so cute) but I didn't have the hair. I also attempted to do box braids but they were a major fail. So I decided to just do Senegalese twists. I used gel, combs, and expression hair. I also stretched out my hair using twists and a straightening comb (I know I know don't come for me).
The hardest part was parting my hair so I asked my grandma to help me with that. I also struggled with keeping my twist from unraveling. I had to take a lot of braids because my fingers would get cramped. The video I used to help me will be linked up above.
Doing Senegalese twists is harder than doing box braids in my opinion but somehow I struggled more with box braids.
I started on Sunday night at like 7 or 8 pm and I finally finished this morning at 2 am. So this was an experience but I hope this motivates or encourages you guys to learn how to do or take care of your own hair.

Have you ever attempted to do a protective style on your own hair? If so, how did it turn out?
