Sonya Pitt had always loved the little town of Chipplo. The quiet town sat on the edge of a dense forest with a peaceful river flowing near by. Enormous mountains stood proud behind the town, as if guarding it from all evil. The streets were lightly peppered with people, who were busy with their morning shopping. If anybody was searching for heaven, this was it. Quiet and peaceful, it was bound to make anyone feel at home.
Sonya was a gentle and kind hearted soul with short brunette hair and big blue eyes. She was a petite woman with luscious curves that drew the eye from far away. Her lips were the color of roses and tiny freckles spotted her button nose. She was the sort of person people envied. With her soft-spoken tone, and approachable nature, she was friends with over half the town. Sonya would always be the first to lend a helping hand. If there was a need, she was there to fulfill it. The men surrounded her like bees to honey but Sonya had eyes for only one man.
Sonya rose from her chair at the table. The paperwork lay before her untouched. Her mind couldn't stop run away from her, captivated by daydreams and worry of future issues. She strolled over to the open window. The cool breeze fanned her sun kissed cheeks. She sighed deeply and reflected on her favorite surroundings. The sun danced in the sky while the roar of the river could be heard through the forest that separated them. Sonya took a deep breath and inhaled the sent of the colorful flowers that peppered the hillsides.
While gazing upon her slice of heaven, she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. As the figure came into view, she realized it was Phillip Smith. Phillip was Sonya's long time boyfriend. His sharp features and sandy blonde hair made all the ladies go crazy over him. He was pushing 6 feet tall and as for a writer was surprisingly muscular. Phillip had a stronger personality and always the light of any room while Sonya preferred observing.
Sonya smiled excitedly as he neared her home. Seeing Phillip was always the highlight of her day. She slipped into her sweater and stopped in front of the oval mirror that hang before the door. She tucked away a few loose hairs and straightened her dressed.
As Sonya stepped outside, Phillip had just passed through the white picket fence that ran around her house. She could see a glint of excitement in his big blue eyes.
Phillip climbed the stairs to the porch and approached her. He taking her hands in his and gazed down at her with the utmost admiration. "You look beautiful today," he whispered as he kissed her cheek. He paused for a moment before getting down on one knee.
Sonya's breath caught in her throat. He pulled out a tiny velvet box and revealed a sparkling diamond cradled by a gold band. In hushed tones he professed his undying love for her. "I love you so much. You complete me in every way. I can't send another day without you being my wife. Will you marry me?"
Sonya gasped. Her cheeks turned bright red and her smile said more than she ever could. "Oh, Phillip. Yes!", she cried throwing her arms around his neck. He hugged her tight before placing the ring on her finger. They looked at each other with overwhelming love. The unspoken words of eternity so strong between them.
Sonya had never been so sure of anything in her life. This was everything she had ever dream of and more. This man before her was her soulmate.
Sonya swept a blonde curl of off Philip's forehead and kissed his cheek."You've made me the happiest woman alive."
Phillip kissed the back of her hands and lead her inside. "I think this call for some wine."
