"You should really start to get out more. I mean- you have me!" Jimin suggested while tying his shoe, off to another one of those big parties those rich dudes hold.
Jungkook just laughed. "Nope. Still not going. You know how much I despise parties ever since that." He said, playing with the hem of his shirt. Jimin sighed.
"Well, if you say so. I sure do hope one day you finally get out of that cage of yours and finally live your life like you should be," Jimin said lastly, before waving goodbye and going out.
Jungkook sighed and grabbed his phone, scrolling thru his social media only to see other people of his age doing the same thing Jimin was doing. Partying. Drinking. Travelling.
It all looked so fun, but to Jungkook, it was all just- nothing. He felt nothing anymore. He was numb. Nothing.
If only he held on a little longer just like he promised.
And just like everyday, Jungkook just sits down by himself, wallowing in his own loneliness. It was boring, but Jungkook got used to it that it seemed more like a daily routine than just some random thing he does.
He was so lost in his train of thoughts that he didn't even notice his doorbell ringing. He only noticed that it did when it finally stopped.
Jungkook stood up from his chair and opened the door, but saw no one there. He was about to close the door, but noticed a small package in front of the door.
Confused, he looked around the hallway to see if anyone was watching or waiting for him to pick it up, but again, there was no one. He then saw a little paper on the side that said, 'To: Jeon Jungkook', so now he was sure that it was his. Though still unsure if this was just some elaborate prank someone was pulling on him, he still picked it up and took it inside.
He placed it onto his counter and analyzed it a bit, trying to see if it had any clues from where or who it came from. Unfortunately, he saw nothing but the same piece of paper from earlier.
Jungkook finally opened the box, and inside it was... another box? Only a lot sturdier than the other. It also had a pixelated 3D heart on the middle, which was actually kinda cute.
He looked at the sides and this time, he finally found a note and a button. The note read,
dearest jungkook,
hello! we may not know each other personally, but i sure do hope this brightens up yout day once in a while:)
sincerely yours,
vante
Vante???? Who even is that? How does he even know Jungkook?
Okay, now this was suspicious. It was like a prank, but shouldn't something already happened if it was? It was really confusing.
Setting the note aside, he pressed the button and the box vibrated, surprising the hell out of Jungkook. A few seconds later, the heart started to light up and sway side by side, which made him raise an eyebrow. He opened the box and inside, there was some sort of screen and a message was written inside. It read,
hey kook!
i see you've already recieved the box.
pretty cool, huh?
dw, i'm not using this to spy on u or anything,
just like i said, i sent this to brighten up your days once in a while!
so just open it when the heart lights up and sways, that's a sign that i sent a message!
-vante
Okay, what?
So apparently this was some sort of messaging app but without the replying tool? What the fuck.
Messages to brighten up his days??? This sounds really sketchy, but also a little touching? Nobody has ever tried to brighten up his day except Jimin. But now, he guesses there's now another one?
Well, at least he now has something to look forward to everyday.
