"They say this place is haunted by a ghost that comes out off a watercolor painting of a copper beach," Rain explained. "I Literally can't wait any longer to go in!" She practically yelled dashing forward into the old and rickety house.
"Hey, don't go in without me!" Yin yelled chasing after her with Chase and Mike following behind.
"Why did I agree to join you guys? This is stupid, it looks like a regular house. I should just go home and finish my project on Einstein's theory of relativity." Rain's sister mumbled under her breath before deciding to try walking away.
Mike didn't see kat with the rest of the group so he went back outside only to find her slowly walking to the exit. "Nope, you're coming to Kat!" He chuckled well he throws her over his shoulder and went back to the group that was waiting for them.
"Awww did sis try to chicken out?" Rain laughed as she saw the pair enter.
"I thought you said you weren't dating." Chase teased.
"We aren't, as if we would ever date!" Mike yelled basically throwing kat onto the floor.
Once Kat got onto her feet she quickly changed the subject "Don't we have a haunted house to explore?"
" Yes, right as always Kat. Let's explore if you find anything suspicious yell for me!" Rain exclaimed running up the stairs in front of the entryway. Yin quickly chased after her again leaving Chase, Mike, and Kat downstairs.
" I will take the right side, you two go left and don't you let Kat out of your sight, she has a tendency to do the smart thing and stay away from this stuff." Mike explained quickly before basically running down the right side.
"You know I was only joking right!" Chase yelled before turning his attention to Kat and letting her lead.
"It looks like we found the living room." Kat said looking behind her to face chase.
"It does appear so, What's the shiny thing on the fireplace's mantle?" Chase replied making Kat turn her attention to it.
Upon closer inspection, Kat explained, " It is a silver cufflink with a ruby in it, should we take it to rain?"
"Let's see if Mike found anything then we can go up together." Chase said.
They then found Mike in the kitchen looking in the fridge. "What is this?!? Are ghosts limited to only eat broccoli, can ghost even eat!" Mike exclaimed before slamming the fridge shut obviously frustrated. "Do you think I should yell for Rain?
"Actually we were about to go up and see her you can come with us and tell her about the obsession with broccoli." Kat laughed at how silly the broccoli thing was.
"I just don't understand why anyone needs a fridge full of only broccoli !?" Mike exclaimed at a loss.
"We should go check on Rain and yin." Chase reminded walking back to the entryway where the stairs were.
The three were startled by loud fast footsteps coming from upstairs soon followed by a panicked yin yelling "We have to leave now, there is actually a crazy politician staying here and they have an arsenal on guns!" Kat jumped at the sudden noise dropping the cufflink.
"Hurry up!!" Rain yelled, panic starting to affect all of them as they rushed outside. When the five of them were a mile away from the house they finally calmed down enough to talk.
"I told you all this was stupid, how can a place be haunted be if it has lights?" Kat explained finally calming down. They then discussed what they found. Intrigued they began to pester the two about what happened to the cufflink. After Kat explained she dropped it they were all discouraged as there was now no evidence they had even gone into the place. Unknown to any of them the cufflinks ruby broke off and was now attached to Mikes's shoe.
