It began as a flame
But as more lightning struck that night
There was nothing to blame
Except the storm with unmatched smite
Now as every creature cowers
Running for cover
For it was lit for hours
Hoping burned homes would recover
People's hopes were now shattered
As before they hoped for someone to come
But as more lightning struck, they all scattered
All terrified because the thunder was loud as drums
All did not lose hope
As they knew it was darkest before the dawn
As they pray to their pope
They push on
After the tragedy
All yelled in cheer
As no one was in agony
As they knew they had nothing to fear
