Chapter 1

POV reader

It was a warm and sunny day, and I was sitting in the park, on a picnic blanket, with my best friend, Journey.
"Hey, Y/N," she said. "What do you want to do while we wait?" We were currently waiting for her new boyfriend to join us, because I had asked Journey to introduce me to him today.
"Well," I replied. "Tell me more about him. You've been so happy since you met him!"
Journey giggled. "He's sweet, talented, charming, and I've never met anyone like him." she replied.
"Sounds dreamy." I said.
"Oh, he is. Just wait til you meet his friend. He's not bad himself." Journey said, with a smirk.
"He has a friend coming with him?" I asked.
"That's what he texted me." Journey answered. Just then, I saw two figures walking up behind her. I pointed, behind her, the way she was facing. "That them?" I asked her.
Journey turned, and I could just tell that she was grinning. "Babe!" She exclaimed, as she stood up, and began running to the taller guy, of the two. The two met in the middle, in a long embrace. He pecked her on the cheek, and holding hands, they walked towards me. Journey's boyfriend's friend looked very out of place and I couldn't help but laugh. But as soon as his face came into view, I laughed no more. His face was practically perfectly symmetrical on both sides. His dark curls perfectly framed his face and bounced as he walked, his small nose wrinkled when he grinned, his freckles splattered across the bridge of his nose and cheeks, and his eyes- oh, his eyes... a light, warm, brown, that reminded me of melted chocolate.

"Y/N??" Journey called.
"Oh-yeah?" I replied.
"I said this is my boyfriend." she laughed. "But I see you have noticed Jack."
"Jack?" I asked, breathlessly.
"Yeah," said Journey's boyfriend. "My best friend, Jack Dylan Grazer." he patted Jack on the back with the hand that wasn't holding Journey's.
I just stared at Jack, not knowing what to say.
"Uh, anyyyyway," Journey said, pulling my attention away from him.
"Y/N, this is Finn."
"Wait..." I stared at Finn for a moment, then my mind exploded. "Finn Wolfhard is your boyfriend?? And wait, this is Jack, with Finn, from IT?? Oh my..." I trailed off, hardly able to believe what I was seeing.
"Journey, I'm going to be honest with you, I did not expect you to get a boyfriend before me, but Finn Wolfhard??"

"I know, it's a lot." Journey laughed, then Finn pulled her into a tight kiss. Then, a hand was held in front of my face. I looked up, and it was Jack, holding his hand out, to help me up from the ground. I put my hand in his, and there was a spark. With my hand, perfectly fitted into his, he lifted me onto my feet. We made eye contact, and I blushed.
"Y/N, isn't it?" he said, in the cutest voice I'd ever heard.
"Heh heh yeah..." I was talking like a complete idiot! My thoughts were running wild...

He's the cutest boy I have ever seen
I'm acting like a fool
I think he might like me...
No there's no way he likes me, I'm acting stupid
Wait this is about Journey and her boyfriend, not me
Ugh I'm being selfish!
But he's so freakin cute aghhhhhh

"Y/N?" Jack interrupted my thoughts. He tucked a piece of hair behind my ear, and a shiver ran down my spine. I smiled at him, then looked at my best friend, knowing she was watching this whole thing. Journey and Finn were smirking at us, and I blushed.
