"Oh baby, you're gonna take all of this,"

"Yes mom," I respond, as I do my makeup for tonight. My best friend Dina wanted to go out clubbing tonight and I kept refusing but that would mean she'd have to go by herself-and I just know that wouldn't go well, so I agreed.
"Dina is here," I rolled my eyes. We were supposed to leave at 7:30, it is now 10 o'clock. Lord knows, that girl takes forever to get ready. Putting my makeup away, I put on my hat and walked downstairs. I needed the hat just incase someone noticed me from school, and I sure as hell didn't look 21.

Walking downstairs, I could see my mother eying Dina's outfit distastefully, but she wouldn't speak out on it because shes my best friend. Dina being her diva self kept asking where my father was, and my mother kept rolling her eyes.
"And why are you asking for my dad?" She turns in my direction and scoffs.
"So he could see how we look. Duh." I rolled my eyes. It was obvious she had a crush on my dad. Dina had always had a thing for older guys and it was weird that she was gushing all over my dad but I had gotten used to it. My mom however, had all the more reason to hate on Dina. The two could never get along.
My mom was a beauty in her 40's and kinda reminded me of Angelina Jolie. Looking back at their old pictures, I could see why my dad fell in love with her. Their marriage is still going strong.
"Dina, just stop." She looked away embarrassingly and coughed. My mom smiled at me and embraced me in a hug. "He's out with uncle Charlie anyways,"
"Be safe darling, be back by twelve." I nodded and kissed her cheek and said my goodbyes. As we walked outside I could spot her car that she rode here and I couldn't help but groan.
"You brought your death trap," I looked at her and she scoffed, "My baby is not a death trap, she's precious."
"Yea okay," I just got in and turned on the radio since she didn't have Bluetooth.
"I don't get why your parents won't buy you your own car though, I mean.. you guys are well off." I pursed my lips as I thought about it.
My dad didn't really want me driving and it wasn't because he didn't trust me- but because he didn't trust other drivers. I knew my mom thought differently but she wouldn't want me to get hurt since I am their only child so she took dads side.
"I guess, my dad is against the idea of me driving right now.." I see her nod her head in my peripheral view.
"So like, what are we even gonna do at the club?"
"What else? We're gonna have fun," she says applying her lip gloss behind the wheel, " ya know, you could've shown more skin for tonight,"
