HERO STUDIOS
"Alright, everyone! Welcome to the scripting panel for the newest hero show, My Hero Academia!" David, the director of the show, announces, clapping along with the other actor and actresses that fill the room, a smile bright on his face. He scans the room, seeing the many people sitting in white fold-out chairs. The tables are in a U shape so that David can see everyone and everyone can see him. He's sure in himself that he has made a good selection of people to play these roles, and his heart swells with so much pride he could almost cry. "I have seen a couple of you in the combat training sessions for this series, some I am meeting for the first time. I'm excited to be working with you all as we make this show a staple in everyone's homes, to touch the lives of many, and to inspire others to follow their dreams. I'm your director David, and there's no need for a 'mister' at the beginning of it. I want you all to be comfortable in this space, as we will be working together on this show over the next few months that we will be shooting. Why don't we go around the room and introduce ourselves and saying an interest of ours? Why don't we start with you, young man?"
A young man who looked to be in these teens (David practically picked all of the actors to aim close to the characters' age in the show, so that it could feel more authentic), green hair and even greener eyes looks at David, full of spirit and determination. The young man looks to address the whole room, his voice echoing through the air. "Hello, everyone! My name is Midoriya Izuku! I'm really excited to be here. An interest of mine would be that...oh, I love to paint! I met David through another friend who saw me in a musical, and it's been history ever since. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here!"
Izuku turns to another young man next to him, who speaks up. "Hi, everyone. I'm Bakugou Katsuki. I also knew David from way back when I was just a little kid taking theater classes. I don't have many interests but I do love to make different spices. But yeah, I see a lot of people here I know from other projects and it's good to see new faces. Nice to meet you all."
A redhead with bangs talks next. "Hiya! Great to meet you all. My name is Kirishima Eijirou. I'm a small-time actor and I'm both nervous and excited at the same time to leap into something bigger than what I'm used to. I enjoy rock climbing and martial arts." He grins when he's done talking, and everyone around him just relaxes. No one knows how he did it, and no one wants to ask.
"Hello. I'm Todoroki Shouto," A man with all-white hair introduces himself. "I'm pretty meek for someone who was chosen to be in a rambunctious cast. Which is a good thing, because this will help me grow out of my shell more as we get to know each other better. I enjoy reading and I teach kids how to bike in my spare time."
As each person goes around the room, people laugh, people have questions, people clap when others perform their interest. Izuku can feel that this is going to be one the best things to happen to him yet, and they haven't even done anything.
"Alright, let's get down to business. As you all know, the plot of this show follows a high school class of kids who have these powers called 'quirks'. They're used for good and evil in this society. Your cast, in this case, are the good guys. You want to do good, you want to protect the world from all evil and harm, but it's not always possible. I figured it was better for you all to use your actual names for the characters that you are going to be portraying. Any comments or concerns about that?" When he received no qualms, David continued. "Great. Since today is just introductory work, we will be going over the details and the rest of the semantics later on, as well as training and building up muscle for certain roles. Today we will discuss the first episode, to which I sent out a copy to you all.
"The first episode starts off with Izuku and Katsuki, who have known each other sense you were practically in diapers. However, when Katsuki's quirk developed, his demeanor starts to change, but that doesn't bother Izuku. When Izuku receives word that he is not born with a quirk, then things shift and turn for the worse, and eventually Izuku starts to lose hope in his future as a hero, but it all turns around on one fateful day. Izuku, Katsuki, I expect you both to rehearse together, exchange phone numbers if you need to, and we will start shooting for the first episode of the first season. Alright?"
