Ant took me upstairs I was looking around remembering all of the memories me and Mateo had together in this house

when his mother caught us having sex in his room and she almost passed out 

i chuckled to my thoughts Ant looked down at me with an confused look

"you must do that a lot" he smiled i shook my head

"i do but it doesn't matter why are we up here?"

he let me go and let out a breath

"he loved you so much and i know he did because no matter how long y'all would be together it was like he couldn't get enough of you" Ant looked out the window and we walked into Ants room

I walked in first and he closed the door behind us I looked over at him with a confused look

"what's up Ant why are we up here ?"

he sat on his bed holding his head

"you know after four years you'd think my mother would know how Mateo died-"

"you didn't tell her" obviously not Camila i rolled my eyes to my thoughts

"nah she would have a heart attack if i told her the truth" he looked up at me i looked at him like he had 4 heads

"stop making that face Cam" i shook my head

"so what did you tell her?" i asked slowly

"i stated that he did get shot but it was to protect you" i rolled my eyes

"you- that's so stupid i thought she knew he was gang affiliated and-"

"Camila no it's not that easy" i looked down at him and shook my head

"so you rather have her blame me and make it seem like YOUR brother died to protect me doing what exactly? i really want to know how you decided to make up this dumb ass story" i said sitting down on the bed a little further than Ant

He stood up and looked down at me

"i told her that y'all were out and some people were causing trouble for y'all and wanted to rob him and ended up shooting him and he took the bullet to protect you" i looked at him with a mug

"get the hell out of here with that batman ass story why didn't you tell her he was selling on corners that wasn't his? why didn't you-"

"Camila stop i just told you why i didn't-"

i stood up about to walk out but Ant grabbed my wrist

"let me go Ant i'm not joking i'm taking my son and i'm leaving you're just as fucked up as your mom" i yanked my arm out of his grip and i grabbed the doorknob and walked out

"Camila i need you to not tell her what really happened" i snapped my head back at Ant

"i should go down there and yell that shit for everyone- you know what that's exactly what the hell i'm going to do" i said moving quickly towards the steps but Ant grabbed me and yanked me away from the steps pulling me into his chest

i thought to myself pushing him away from me
"do that shit and i promise you-"

"oh shut up i have every right to march down them fucking stairs and make a scene" i fixed my jean jacket going down the stairs

"Camila you're right" he said lowly as i was going down the stairs

"i know that's why i'm going to tell them" walking pass the kids playing in the room Miguel got up and ran towards me

"mommy i'm hungry" looking up at me holding my legs

"okay papa lets go get you some food" i said walking towards the kitchen Ant still on my heels

"Ant drop it" i said grabbing a plate with Miguel pointing at the chicken

grabbing the chicken Ant walked away

he's such a dumb ass to even come up with that idea or to even follow through with it but i don't know who's the bigger dumb ass
Mateo mother or his brother

Getting my plate and handing Miguel his we sat at the table eating Mateo mother walked up to us and she looked down at Miguel

"you know i apologize about earlier" she said looking at me i nodded

"i apologize too, it was wrong of me to raise my voice at you in any type of way- i just want to come to an understanding for his sake" i said putting my fork down looking over at her she smiled and kissed Miguel forehead and i smiled at her

Once everything was over Miguel and I said our goodbyes and i gave my number to Mateos mother she told me to contact her if i need someone to watch Miguel i nodded walking out

heading to my car i saw Ant kissing this girl at i guess her car and Ant looked over at me as the girl was talking to him i continued walking to the car with Miguel but i notice Ant walking over

rolling my eyes i opened my back door putting Miguel in "Youre getting too big for me too pick you up" he smiled and i laughed at him putting his belt on i saw it in his face he was tired

standing up straight closing the car door Ant was leaning on the passengers side i looked up at him and asked

"what's up?" he looked down at me

looking back at the girl he was with not to long ago she was standing looking over at us if looks could kill then i most definitely would of been dead by now

"i'm sorry about today" he said lowly i nodded

"i would say it's okay but it's not i'm happy me and your mother can at least attempt to find common ground but i'm still annoyed at the fact that you thought it was okay to even come up with something so dumb" he nodded and pushed hisself off the car opening his arms i gave him a hug

"i'm doing this for my brother and my sobrino" i nodded breaking the hug looking in the car at sleeping Miguel

"get back to your girlfriend before her head pops" he bust out laughing walking away making me smile i got in the car and pulled off
