"How did it become like this?" 18-year old Athanasia asked herself. She walked alongside soldiers, hands tied behind her back. She nervously stared at the ground with wide eyes, too terrified to face her father, Claude De Alger Obelia.

"All I wanted was to please you, but I didn't and would never poison someone to accomplish that. Why doesn't anyone believe me? What did I do wrong?" Princess Athanasia thought, as she prepared to meet her fate. "I suppose none of it matters anymore... No one's going to save me. I can't really blame them, though. Only someone who's completely lost their mind would go against the emperor, anyway."

All her life, Athanasia never blamed anyone for anything. Whenever things went wrong, she would only blame herself. It's a real pity that she's always thought that way, since it has partly been the cause of her miserable life.

However, she did have moments where she was truly happy. For example, on her 14th birthday, Lily bought her a small bracelet to congratulate her on her debutante, which Athanasia has treasured ever since. It was the only gift that she's ever received, so wherever she went, she made sure to keep it with her.

"Lily, thank you for all that you've done for me. The only thing I wish from you now is that you live a peaceful and joyful life. Please don't let my death stop you from being happy," Athanasia thought in her heart, hoping that somehow, Lily would get the message.

Another happy memory she had was when Jennette invited her to drink tea. She was the only friend Athanasia had that was her age, so she felt close to her, as if they were truly sisters. That is, until the day Athanasia supposedly "poisoned Jennette's tea out of jealousy." She was unrightfully accused by Jennette's aunt, and shortly sentenced to death by Claude, Athanasia's one and only father.

Everyone believed that she was most likely the culprit since the emperor favored Jennette over Athanasia. Of course, Athanasia was innocent. After all, why would she poison her only friend, as well as the only person who makes her father happy?

Despite the lack of evidence, and the fact that the poison wasn't life threatening, there she was, in great despair and on her way to be killed by the hands of her father.

"Jennette, I hope you get well soon. And father, I'm sorry I failed to make you happy. Goodbye," Athanasia said in a tiny whisper.

Little did she know, not too far away, a 15 year old Athanasia (Athy) from an alternate universe was pushing through the crowd of people who were watching 18 year old Athanasia. "Lucas, you jerk!! Where the heck am I, and why are there so many people here?!" Athy wondered in anger. "Once I get back, I'm gonna kill you!" she mumbled.

When Athy finally made it past the crowd, she lifted her head and froze at the scene before her. Right in front of her, she saw an older version of herself preparing to be executed. "What...? That woman... looks just like me..." Her eyes widened.

"Why...?" she asked herself. "Why does this feel so familiar?" Athy paused for a moment, then looked around again and saw what seemed to be her father. Beside him, was his personal guard, Felix. Then, she looked back at the woman who resembled her, while finally putting the pieces together.

"No way... don't tell me he really sent me here," Athy thought, in complete shock. She realized that what she was currently watching was the same exact scene that was in the book "Lovely Princess," the popular novel she read in her past life.

"I'm stuck in a world that looks just like mine... except here, everything is just how it was in that book!" she exclaimed in her thoughts. "If the woman in front of me is the original Athanasia, then I can't let anyone see me." She pulled her hood over her face. "This feels so unreal... I can't believe I'm actually in the original story."
