Ray (Part 1)

part 4-understanding

Roma-"ugggh..."

Holding his side Roma falls to the ground in pain.

Roma-"damn it I need more time, just a few more months..."

Caughing up blood Roma tries to gain his composure, when around the corner some students walk past him.

Student 1-"Mr.Roma you ok?"

Student 2-"yeah you look exhausted should we call the new nurse?"

In shock Roma stiffens up in fear, he knows who she is and it's only...

Raven-"stop lying you overgrown lizard"

Raven now registered as the new school's nurse to stay after her and the principal had a agreement that she'll be close to Ray to see his progress in return she provide medical assistance when needed.

Ray-"wait you called him a overgrown lizard why?"

Ray who was next to Raven, takes a sniff at Roma he shoves Ray away backing him off, moving towards a bed to lay his head down in the nurse room. Thinking to himself, hearing voices repeat left and right. Raven notice how much he's struggling.

Raven-"hey Ray, can you go and give us some time alone?"

Ray tilts his head then shrugs his shoulders and exits the room. Raven walks over to a desk and sits down turning to face Roma.

Roma-"if you plan on asking me something please just say it...I dont really have the patience to hold anything"

Raven just stares at him while his back is facing her, she takes a deep sigh and closes her eyes. Roma then turns his head to look at Raven.

Roma-"*sigh* look since seeing Ray do all that don't you think it's a bit weird that a boy like him has this kind of strength?"

Roma looks to the ground thinking back to the past he had. His eyes then connects to Raven's eyes.

Roma-"look very long time ago Tama and I knew someone close, we was a 3 man-squad. Tama was the leader and power, I was the strategist and speed and she was...she was the tank of us she also brought joy to what we did. But at the same time ago...we was young look at me now I'm in my 50's this happen when I was around 17...."

Roma lifts his shirt to show a massive scar from his upper torso down to his abdomen.

Roma-"one mission...it just took 1 damn mission to kill her, scar me, and break him...we was never the same...."

Raven looks at him in that remark, her lip curls into a frown her eyes lower as she understand what that year meant for a lot...it may not be recorded in history but that's the day of the black sun an event that lead to few hundreds dying.

Raven-"day of the black sun?"

Roma close his eyes and sighs

Roma-"your know your things. Yeah we was told one if the black sun fragments was near the southern continent we could prevent it....but going there we found that creature..."

Roma's eyes begain to water but he then sits up and walks over to the window and opens it, going into his pocket and pulling out his favorite smokes. He gestured to Raven saying "can i" but she just shrugs him off. He lights it and continues his story.

Roma-"Tama didn't know what it was nor did he believe we could win but me and her was naive we believe we could I mean we was already pro's me with my sword play, her with her gauntlets, and Tama with his fire. But....but we didn't know that...that thing was a demon..."

Raven's eyes widen in hate and fear hearing the word demon she held her left leg very gently and close her eyes.

Raven-"You dont have to continue anymore, the fact that your here and Tama too means its dead right?"

Roma-"No in fact...its still alive and I even suspect it has someone here watching me even....Watch out for Tama now that Ray is around things are gonna get far worst...."

Raven-"what do you mean does it has something to do with our blood of being pure humans?

Roma finish his smoke and puts it out, he turns to Raven.

Roma-"Toma wants a book a special book in fact. Have you heard of the lost age? Within that age came a book called the book of origin"

Raven's face turns to a snarl hearing those words but clinches her fist, Roma not noticing continue.

Roma-"From legends past down over I believe 3,600 years ago a man ripped oven the sky and from him came a void of crimson, he killed million of not billions of pure humans...wiping them all out...or so I thought you and Ray seem to be the last two was there survivors? Time travel? Genetic manipulation? Whatever the case Tama now has it in his head that you if not Ray know where it is..."

Raven-"and if he gets it?"

Roma walks towards the exit.

Roma-"hell resurrect her..."

He leaves, Raven sits back in the chair and opens her favorite book she begins to read, looking at the window and walking over to it she looks at the sky.

Raven-"if only people knew what really happened that day only us pure humans know and it's a dark part of us we can never let go...if only those five was here"

Ray walks back in the room and he sits on the bed.

Ray-"hey Raven what was up with Roma? And why call him a lizard?"

Raven turns around and smiles walking over to Ray.

Raven-"because he always crawls around, and he's fine just needed a break"

Smiling while puffing up her chest. Ray laughing and stop for a second.

Ray-"oh I almost forgot *pulling out a paper* I was told you needed to see this. I can't go out on missions if you don't sign for it"

Raven reads and it states
"To the parent or guardian of this applicant, we would like to inform you that the applicant would par-take in missions during off school hours from 4-10pm, note that the applicant can and will be subjected to injury or even fatality during missions. Compensation will be giving out to those that par-take in affairs. If you are ok please sign and date-misco"
Raven rolls her eyes and signs.

Raven-"you can do this but you have to promise me one thing and one thing only got it?"

Ray nods and walk near Raven, she pats his head and gently hums.

Raven-"Ray? Don't ever lose and don't you ever give up, because the best and see everything to the end.... understand?"

Ray nods
