PLAGIARISM IS A CRIME.

•••

We go hideaway in daylight
We go undercover when under sun
Got a secret side in plain sight
Where the streets are empty
That's where we run

I leaned my head back on the seat of the bus I was riding. I shut my eyes as I listened to the music playing through my earphones.

This day is so draining.

Everyday people do
Everyday things but I
Can't be one of them
I know you hear me now
We are a different kind
We can do anything

I glanced at my left side and noticed a young boy who looked so tired from school.

I looked around and a pair of apologetic eyes welcomed me from the seat across to mine and the kid I was sitting with. Siguro siya yung nanay ng batang 'to.

I just smiled a little at pinabayaan na siya saka yung anak niya na sumandal sa balikat ko.

We could be heroes
We could be heroes
Me and you

Heroes... funny how a lot of people yearned to be superman, cyborg, thor or wonder woman. They wanted to have superpowers in order to be heroes who save butts and people from their death.

We could be heroes
We could be heroes
Me and you
We could be

I stared outside the window and watched the trees move fast... then faster... and then faster.

"WALANG PRENO!" sigaw ng konduktor ng bus and then suddenly, everybody was on panic!

The kid beside me was crying between the arms of his mother who was also crying in fear. Everyone was shouting and I got no choice but to remove my earphones dahil sobrang lakas na ng sigaw ng mga tao.

I stood up from my seat and watched everyone tremble in fear. We're around 30 passengers riding this bus.

I can't lie... nagpa-panic na din ako. I can't imagine myself dying from a bus accident!

"SHIT! DEAD END!" I heard a guy shouted from the back.
