Y/n sat on the couch playing with his kitten, Maguro, a dark brown spotted bengal. Despite the fact his pet looked like a leopard, the child named her after a fish. Hizashi couldn't convince him to pick something different.

It had been three days since Y/n's pre-school had been closed for reconstruction. His father's students had left for their internships, so when Y/n went to work with him, he spent most of his time in the teacher's lounge. When Aizawa could, he'd work with his son on controlling his quirk.

Y/n was a quick learner and was able to keep his quirk from activating at random. That was as long as he didn't get overly emotional. He wasn't one to thrown tantrums, but if he didn't get enough sleep and became cranky, the quirk would activate, leaving him with real bad dry eye.

As incidents with the Hero Killer Stain sparked more unrest among the city, Y/n's school was closed for an additional week. The boy didn't really care otherwise. He was four. All he heard was he got to sleep in and that was it.

"Y/n, lets get ready to go," Aizawa told his son.

"M'kay." The boy struggled to get his sneakers on. He stuck his tongue out, trying to focus intently while tying the laces. "No, papa! I got it!" Y/n said when Aizawa tried to help. After five minutes, he just threw the shoes to the side and put on a pair with velcro.

Picking up his son's backpack, Aizawa took hold of Y/n's hand and they left their small apartment. Hizashi typically picked them and they all went to school together.

"Look who it is! Shouta and his mini me," Hizashi exclaimed, overly cheerful for the first thing in the morning.

"Noisy," Y/n mumbled, strapping himself in his booster seat.

"So mean!"

"He's not wrong," Aizawa grumbled. Hizashi sweatdropped. The similarities between the two were so uncanny that it was sometimes terrifying.

Throughout the entire ride, the eccentric blond talked away, neither Aizawa really paying attention to what he was saying. However, Hizashi managed to hear the quietest of mewls.

"What was that?"

"Nothing," Y/n said. The sound came again from his backpack. As Hizashi pulled into the U.A. parking lot, Aizawa reached over and grabbed the bag. Y/n tried to pull it back, but he wasn't very successful.

"Seriously Y/n?" The tired father sighed. He pulled out Maguro from the bag. The kitten meowed. "I told you Maguro had to stay at home."

"But I get bored." Maguro squirmed out of Aizawa's grasp and jumped into Y/n's arms. The child cradled the kitten close. "Please?"

Sighing, Aizawa couldn't say no to his son's (tired) puppy dog look. "Fine. Just don't lose her." Y/n nodded quickly, his eyes sparkling with happiness.

They parted ways with Hizashi and headed to Class 1-A. The final exams were approaching and the students were trying to cram the last bit of information in their heads for the written exam and trying to figure out what the practical exam would be.

Y/n stayed quiet, playing with Manguro the whole time. He laid on the floor passing the ball of yarn back and forth with the kitten. Beginning to doze off, the boy accidentally pushed the yarn too hard. "Uh oh. Guro-chan, can you get that?"

The kitten meowed and went after the ball, trying to pounce on it. Midoriya looked down when he felt a nudge on his foot. "A kitten..?" He picked up the yarn ball; doing so made the animal stand on its hind legs as it tried to reach the object. Y/n quickly ran over, snatched the yarn from Midoriya and scooped up Manguro.
