The twinkling sound of stars and the motion sound of wind became music for the dance of three girls. Sameer's eyes forgot to blink and he gazed at her intensely. Everything around her was blur and only Naina was in his view. The smile on his face was plastered. And, tint of pink rushed to his cheeks unknowingly.

Naina giggled as she moved her body gracefully to the sound waves. She was aware of Sameer's eyes on her. And, their eyes met a lot of times in between the dance, distracting her. She sighed. The dance came to an end.

Naina glared at Sameer and came to him in a huff. Sameer looked away immediately and talked to no one but the lonely air in the atmosphere of earth.

"Tum mujhe kyon dekh rahe the?" Naina made him turn by clutching his arm. Sameer felt a current passing through him with the touch. The same feeling he felt years ago. Nothing was changed. Only his love increased for her. Naina realised what she did and slowly removed her hand.

Naina made a pout and stared at him, waiting for the answer. Sameer stood blinking without knowing what to do. The girl before him was so cute with that red nose. How could he resist himself from pulling her cheeks?

"Arey! Everyone here are watching you people, because you were performing." Sameer reasoned out.

"Acha? They are watching the other two too. Not only me, okay?" Naina crossed her arms against her chest and her ornaments shook, chuckling at Naina.

"You are right. Main tumse pyaar karta hoon. While, they don't. That's the reason." Sameer smiled.

"What?"

"Main tumse pyaar karta hoon." He said again and winked at her. Fresh red roses bloomed over her cheeks and she tried to hide it.

"Sameer. . . !" Naina struggled, trying to be angry. Sameer smiled at her sheepishly and started to run. Naina chased him, struggling with the heavy skirt and accessories of her.

He ran. She chased.

No one was in the state of giving up. Sameer looked back, checking her state. She was far away. He stood, panting, resting on an isolated tree in the garden.

Naina fought with her skirt and neared him somewhat. Her leg tripped on a stone and she felt herself being pushed forward without any balance.

Her vision became blur, just like the day. Turning point in her life. She shut her eyes. She remembered how she fell on the hard road with her head hitting harshly. It was the most hateful day in her life. The smile on her lips faded. And, she got to remember her fate; left away in the darkness. Yes, she was. And, there would be no light. Her wait was just meaningless, wasn't it? The happy change in her flew away from her.

She landed on a hard yet safe place for her. As she opened her eyes and glanced up, two twinkling mischievous and happy eyes welcomed her and she found herself in the arms of Sameer. He was grinning like the shining full moon on the sky. It was the most beautiful smile she had ever seen. It made her worries to run away from her. She locked her eyes with his. His arms felt like the safest and comfortable place for her. It was so soothing. She finally blinked and moved back rapidly.

"I am sorry . . . " Naina murmured and walked away from him. The place might be soothing. But, it was not meant for her.

Sameer glanced at her blankly. His smile reduced. Not because she went away. He knew that, she would. The thing was, she was not okay.
