"𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵?"

After Ale left, Kairi spent the next 45 minutes wondering how he had even ended up in this situation. Was he doomed from the start? Was the decision to kiss Mattia back one that would ruin his life forever? As his mother had once told him "sometimes the worst curses imaginable come disguised as a beautiful blessing" maybe she was right, maybe Mattia was a curse. What the hell did he get himself into.
Kairi sat alone listening to sad songs. All he could wonder was; How? What went wrong? From best friends, to lovers, to strangers. oh how cliche. Kairi hated how this was panning out, like a shitty fan fiction. Maybe just maybe something in his life something could go normally. Maybe it wouldn't have to end like one of those little fanfictions him and mattia read together. Deep down Kairi wanted it to end like that. He wanted this story to end with a happily every after. However, he knew that wouldn't be the case.

Ale had warned him back in the summer. "are you sure about this Kai?" "yes, ale I'm sure. Me and Mattia love eachother it'll work out." "I know, but I also know that you know Mattia is never gonna come out" "i can handle that" " No you can't Kai, you hate keeping secrets" "trust me. I'll figure it out" "if you say so"

    Maybe he should have taken Ale's advice...

"Kai!!! Mom said to let me in your room"
Kairi was snapped out of his thoughts by a knock on his door

"ughhhh what do you want now?" Kair said annoyed

"I wanna make a tik tok" Kairi's little sister replied

"No."

"pleaasssse"

"No. Now get out"

"ugh fine"

Now that Kairi's thoughts had been disturbed he decided he might as well go outside. He needed a break from all this. So, off to the park he went. He got dressed and rushed out the door quickly hoping to avoid any questions from his parents.

The park has been his sanctuary since age 8. It was where he went when his parents argued, or when he got rejected by his 5th grade crush. The only other person to know how much the park meant to Kairi was Mattia. Kairi finally arrived at his sacred location, taking a seat on the bench he had carved his name into 5 years ago

"Kai!!" Kairi recognized the voice that yelled his name, but he chose to ignore it

"speak of the devil" he whispered to himself

"Kairi, please talk to me" Mattia said taking a seat next to Kairi

   The boy ignored him and started to walk away, being stopped by Mattia grabbing his arm. "please kai" Mattia whispered

"No, don't talk to me ever again" Kairi snapped, pulling his arm away

"But, Kai please"

"No, no buts. Get away from me. I dont want to see you or hear your stupid voice ever again!" Kairi yelled, a small steady flow of tears starting to stream down his face

"Kai you dont mean it, we've been best friends since we were kids!" Mattia begged

"NOT ANYMORE! YOU MEAN NOTHING TO ME! I HATE YOU! I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!" Kair screamed, instantly regretting every word that came out of his mouth, but it was to late now

"i- okay" Mattia mumbled running away before Kairi could notice his tears

  Kairi sighed sitting back down on the bench and letting all the tears come out, he sat there for at least an hour sobbing his eyes out, getting a few concerned looks from strangers passing. He didn't care though, and even if he did he couldn't stop the tears from flowing. It was all finally coming out, all the tears he's bottled up since summer, everything was flooding out like a broken dam.

   He messed up bad. There was no way he could repair anything with Mattia at this point. All hope he had to rekindle their friendship was lost...
