Toni's POV
I groaned as my alarm went off. I didn't want to get up. It's my first day at Riverdale High because my old school, Southside high, got shut down. I actually was quite excited to go to this new school te meet new people and stuff, just not in the morning. i got up and ot ready. I wore my black ripped skinny jeans with a crop top and of course a flannel. i let my hair down and ate some breakfast. When i was done i got on my bike and drove to school.
When i arrived some ginger haired boy and raven haired girl were welcoming us. They gave us our schedules and showed us around. The school seemed nice. They showed us the gym, the locker rooms, the cafeteria, the student lounge and the library. When we were in the library i saw a girl sitting on the ground reading a book. She was very cute and absolutely beautiful. She has ginger hair, brown eyes and she wears glasses and braces. I don't know what it is about the girl but i want to get to know her.
When the tour was done we all went to first period. Mine was English. As soon as the teacher started talking i zoned out. I kept thinking about that girl from the library. I don't know why though. She's not really my type, i think. Although she's really beautiful. She seems so innocent. Should i talk to her? She seemed very shy so I don't want to scare her away.
After what seemed forever lunch finally came around. I walked in the cafeteria scanning the room looking for my friend and that red headed cutie. I joined my friends and we started talking. After a while I saw the redhead leaving the cafeteria and decided to go for it. I followed her to the library. I arrived a minute or so after her and saw her sitting at a table with her math book in front of her. I was about to go sit beside her but i saw reggie and veronica talking to her. i was watching them because it looked like they were scaring her. it seemed like there were bullying her. Why would they do that? Now i see them pushing her books to the ground.
'Hey!! what the hell do you think you're doing' i said angrily.
'haha we're just helping this ugly nerd putting her books away' Reggie laughed.
'euh excuse me? don't fuck with me. i saw you pushing her books of the table. i would like for you to leave her alone.' i said as i helped the red headed girl collecting her books.
'aww why are you helping her? she's ugly and a loser' Veronica laughed.
'She's very beautiful and not a loser at all. She's probably ten time smarter than you and a hundred times sweeter. so go and leave her alone' i said frustrated.
They looked at me nervously and left.
'hey you okay?' i asked the scared girl.
'yeah thanks' she said quietly.
'no problem' i smiled. 'is it a normal thing to do for them? like do they bully you a lot?'
she just nodded sadly.
'i'm toni by the way' i smiled.
'my name's Cheryl.' she said as she gave me a little smile.
'c'mon i'll walk you to your class' i smiled gently.
'oh Toni you don't have to do that i'm sure you're friends are wondering where you are.' she said.
'Cheryl.. i wanna be your friend. i really do so stop doubting yourself. Those people are assholes, you shouldn't believe anything they say.' i said gently
'okay' she smiled gently as we started walking towards her class.
'hey do you maybe wanna meet at pops after school? you know, to get to know each other?' i asked hopefully.
'oh euh yeah sure, i just have to ask my parents but i'm sure they will let me go. They want me to make more friends.' she answered gently.
'okay! Here's my number so ask your parents and let me know.' i smiled as i put my number in her phone.
