This chapter isn't really that important, it's just how the earth 'ended' and stuff.
It was only a matter of time before planet earth finally gave in.
All the close calls of mass extinction, like meteors straying dangerously close or threats of nuclear wars placed upon the planet was bound to eventually catch up with it in the end.
It was a normal, sweltering summer day for Carly, a fourteen year old human who lived with two older brothers and her father, who was currently at work.
She stared at the TV screen along with her brothers, an old mundane movie playing. They were too lazy to change the channel
She yawned, leaning into the chair with a sigh.
"I'm so bored" she sighed, her eyes raised heavenward to the ceiling
Her brothers grunted in agreement.
The TV screen suddenly flashed white, a buzzing loud enough to be heard throughout the entire neighborhood piercing everyone's ears. It was the kind of buzzing that made your ears tickle, like when you rest your head on a car window while it's moving.
"AH- TURN IT OFF! TURN IT OFF"
Her brothers scrambled, clutching their ears as they panicked, trying to switch the TV off. A sharp pain was pulsing in their heads, like their brains were going to explode.
Eventually, one made it to where the TV was plugged in and pulled out the plug, but the TV still kept belting out the buzzing.
The other brother smashed the TV screen, and the noise stopped
"WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED?!" He yelled, rubbing his ears
"Robin- your ears are actually bleeding! What the fuck?!" Carly stared at the brother who had pulled out the TV plug. He touched his fingers gingerly to the thin trail of blood that was making its way down his face.
He stared, eyes round at the blood on his fingers
"Sh-should we call dad? Or an ambulance..?" He wobbled, before collapsing onto a wall, leaning against it with a shoulder.
Carly stood up "uhm, maybe an ambulance, and then dad- what the fuck happened with the TV?"
Her other brother, Jake sat on the ground "that scared the shit out of me.."
Carly reached for her phone on the table, dialing 911 with a shaking finger. Meanwhile, Robin had left to retrieve a towel or tissues to stop the waterfall of blood. He groaned from the kitchen as he stumbled back into the living room.
"Fuck- I have a migraine-" he sat in a chair, clenching and unclenching his hands
Carly stood, with her phone to her ear. It was still ringing.. odd.
She then heard what she assumed her call being answered. A paper like shuffling was whispering feebly out of the speaker
"Hello..?" Her voice shook, she had an uneasy feeling
The phone went silent. "Hello? Is anyone there?? Hello???"
Jake and Robin stared at her
