Hello, and welcome to my Dream Journal! I'll be recording as many dreams as I can from here on out. They'll be directly copied from my personal journal, which I've just purchased. I'd like to discuss some information you might want to know before reading about this.
1: What is a Lucid Dream?
A lucid dream is when you're dreaming, yet you're aware that you're dreaming. Due to dreams being generated by your mind, You'll have control over what happens. This means you can fly, teleport, talk to friends, practice things, eat, and have fun while still experiencing the positive effects of these actions. (Except for eating. Heh.) I'll be attempting to get as many lucid dreams as possible on here, as they're generally the most interesting dreams.
2: What is sleep paralysis?
Sleep paralysis is the worst possible scenario in bed. get your mind out of the gutter, that's not what I meant. When you fall asleep, your brain paralyzes you, so if you move in a dream you don't move in real life. If you wake up while your body is still asleep, well, this can cause some problems. You'll be stuck to the bed, and struggle to move. This will most likely send you in a panic, which will provoke negative thoughts. Due to you still being in a dream-like state, those thoughts will manifest by your bed. Are you afraid of clowns? Imagine a clown manifesting directly in your face. So don't think of clowns if this happens. Remain calm, and think of good things. Sleep paralysis usually lasts 15 seconds after waking up, so know that you'll be fine in the end.
3: What is MILD, WILD, FILD, and SSILD?
I can't cover all of them right now, but the summary is this. Each of those is an acronym representing a method of lucid dreaming. MILD stands for Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams, WILD stands for Waking Induction of Lucid Dreams, FILD stands for Finger Induction of Lucid Dreams, and SSILD stands for Senses Initiated Lucid Dream. If you want a more in-depth explanation, comment.
4: Why should I care?
Sleep is important. It heals your body, rests you, and allows you space to think freely. Dreams can be a sandbox for creativity and imagination if you know how to use them. It's healthy, and it's sure as hell a lot of fun.
