Chaper Two- The Options
I walked into the hospital room where they were checking to make sure Annabelle was healthy and there were no problems. "Hey baby girl. Mommy is here" I cooed to her. She was starting to cry and if I knew her well enough she was hungry. What should I do? Mom always gave her special milk. I turned to the nurse "Do you think I could get a bottel and some formula?" I asked. "You didn't bring any?" she retorted. I sarcastically replied " Well I tried to get some from the house before it blew up!!" She skowled and mutter something under her breath. I picked up Annabell and started to bounce to calm her. There was a knock at the door. "Excuse me? Miss?" the man asked. I noticed he was wearing regular clothes but still had a gun and badge. "Yes, sir?" I replied. He looked at me and said "Im Detective Carl Rice. I'm investigating the incident at your house." He explained. I felt tears threatening to fall buit I held them back. "Yes, how can I help?" I asked. We talked for what seemed like 6 hours and Annabelle and I were released from the hospital. "We called your Uncle Harry and he said you and your baby could move to their house if thats what you would like to do. If you need a ride their we can take you." I tried to remember who Uncle Harry was. They didn't know mom had another baby. So this would work grreat. Nobody will know she is really my sister.
After we realized we had no carseat or clothing or anything the police station offered to buy some supplies for Annabelle and I. We got a baby bed, diaper bag, clothes, formula,bottles, diapers, and some other normal baby stuff. After we were done with baby stuff we got some clothes for me. Back in the car we were going to an airport. I guess they live a little ways away? I looked over to Annabelle. She was sleeping so peacefully. If she only knew......
