This story is set in Hermitcraft s6. You needn't watch the series to enjoy, but it's a good idea to understand the vague layout of the map, around March 2019.
It is also helpful to have an understanding of the Phantom Hunt, Phantom Menace, the Civil War, and the ConCorp/Sahara rivalry.
