I wasn't even very close to the school before I saw its sign board. It was so enormous. I wondered if that was just a form of advertisement or a statement telling people who weren't rich to fuck off.
As I approached the premises, I read the name of the school out loud: "Fairview High." There was "school" at the end but I didn't bother to add that last bit. Wasn't convinced it was necessary.
The plan is? "To try to be as invincible as possible." I reminded myself over and over till I arrived at my destination; school.

Tons of students had already arrived when I did. This school was much larger than my former school and I think the population here tripled that of my old school.

As expected, I was as lost as an ancient map. I had no clue where to go. In the hallway, the school's badge was painted on the ground in the most artistic manner. Lockers lined both sides of the hallway and a lot if students were busy doing one thing or the other. As an implication, the hallway was anything but quiet.

I took a quick glance and scanned the walls for any sign of direction or arrows, or something. But there was none.

Just then, a girl passed by me. She was the first student to come close to me since I was standing here so I decided to use the opportunity to ask her for help.

"Hi, i'm Emily. Its my first day here and i need to know where the principal's office is. I'd really appreciate your help."

The girl was tall and pretty. Her long golden brown hair was done perfectly. She had on a crop top and a pretty short skirt. I mean that in the sense that her skirt was pretty and short. And also in the sense that her skirt was pretty short. Her heels were really tall and her excess makeup was doing a good job in masking up her natural beauty.

"Em. I. Ly." She pronounced every syllable singly as if she was sampling the name on her tongue.

"When next you want to ask for directions" she said, placing her arms on my shoulders.
"Look for someone in your league, someone at your level, in your class. And that someone, is definitely not me so steer clear." She added, louder this time, drawing loads of attention to me. Some wore smug expressions on their faces, others indifferent. A few others had sympathetic expressions on their faces. Obviously, they were sorry that I was having to deal with little miss brat. It appeases my heart how I was easily able to ascribe nicknames to bitches and fools. I think that is my second talent apart from innocent flirting.
I realized in that minute that this was definitely one of or the only queen bee of Fairview. Well, I wasn't that girl to be put in the position of self pity.
Little miss brat had already made to leave when I spoke up, making her stop dead in her tracks.

"You're such an idiot... Emily." I hesitated a bit before calling my name so that she thought I was referring to her.
"I told you not to talk to the bitch but you're too stubborn. Look at her, does she even look like someone you should be talking to? You have to consider an upgrade in the kind if people you talk to." I said palming my head. I don't know if it was what I said or the fact that I was talking too myself that made little miss brat turn around abruptly to face me. I'd be surprised if her neck didn't get a fracture.
"C'mon Em, let's go find some worthy humans to talk to." I said in a bid to leave but little miss brat's voice interrupted me as She blocked my path.
"What is that supposed to mean, Empty? Huh, what makes you think I'm not worth talking to?" She asked angrily.

"Uhm, obvious reasons" I said as if nothing could be more apparent.
"First off, you lack style and humor. You're boring and downright insecure. Associating with you is a slap to my face, an alteration to my ego and an insult for all its worth. You should be grateful I spoke to you in the first place. Also, That empty Emily stuff. Was that supposed to be a joke? Cause I really didn't buy it. I mean, you can't even make a good joke So you see, even if you were to become a jester, you'd still be unsuccessful. I need no genius to tell me that you suck at school work so you're practically useless to society. Just commit suicide and end it all and I promise, the world would be a better place with you gone at least, you'd be doing the world some good by staying out of it. That's an advice from a rational human being."
Of course I had no evidence of what I was saying but I was disgusted by her mere existence. I needed to pull out her nonesense queen bee stinger and it sure seemed to be working. The horrified look on her face was priceless.
Apparently, she had never been stood up to at this school before. Everyone seemed to be afraid of her. The gasps and terrified remarks I received as I said every word was all the proof I needed but I couldn't understand why everyone feared her so much. This girl was powerless.

"Now listen here bitch. You'd be doing yourself a favour if you stayed out of my path. Do you here me? Stay the fuck out of my way or you'll regret it." She said before stomping off angrily.

I waited for her to go a distance before I screamed after her.
"I'll see what I can do about little miss brat's warning."

That must have hit a nerve because she visibly tensed before taking the corner.
As soon as she was gone, everyone began clapping and cheering.
Wow, so much so for a dramatic appearance. I'm good at this stuff.

Just then, a guy walked to me and gave me high five.
"You go girl" he said and I smiled.
"You put that bitch in her place. That was awesome. I'm Kane by the way. Come I'll show you the principal's office he said, leading the way.
On the way, a few people raised their hands for a shake and I touched as many ad I could.

"God knows I've waited for day all my life. Where the vivas would be put in check." Kane said as we walked.

"Vivas? " I asked in confusion.

"Yup" he replied "that's what they call themselves."

"They?" I asked again

"The Three witches of Eastwood are the vivas" He clarified.
"Vi Va. Representing the first two letters of their names. But technically, the ones whose names start with "Va" are two so that makes it plural. Vas.
"Vicky
Valerie
Vanessa
Giving birth to the VIVAS. You just met Valerie. You'd be meeting the others soon and their boyfriends.

"Wow" I exclaimed "so you mean that before today, no one has been able to stand up to them? " I asked.

"Well, not that I know of. The girls are too chicken to do shit and most of the dudes are a bunch of useless boys.

And the real guys would rather not involve in girls drama. But when it involves us, we certainly don't keep shut. Like when she tried some bullshitting on my little sister Chris. She knew my face and I don't think she has forgotten it since then."

"So you're implying that you're one of the real dudes then?" I asked with a raised brow.

"Of course I am, I can't even believe you're asking that."

I laughed.

"Wow, This school seems interesting." I said with a half laugh.

"You have no idea sweetheart." He said.

"I'm Emily by the way." I stated

"I know, I heard your conversation with Valerie."

"Oh" I said, nodding in understanding

"That's the principal's office. Do you want me to wait for you of are you good?"

"I'd really love for you to wait but I don't know how long its going to take and I don't want you to be late on my account." I answered sincerely

"Its fine, I'll wait. I kinda have diplomatic immunity around here" He said with a proud smirk.

"Thanks so much" I said quickly, not even attempting to resist his offer. I was not ready to feel lost again. And definitely not ready to meat the vivos, vasvis vivis, whatever.

"I really appreciate your help. I'll be out as soon as I can" were the last words i muttered before dissapearing behind the principals door.

The principal was with someone else so I had to wait.
Great start on a first day.
So much so for being awesome. I groaned to myself as I sat in the waiting area.
