"The only girl I've ever loved was born with roses in her eyes, but then they buried her alive one evening in 1945 with just her sister at her side. And only weeks before the guns all came and rained on everyone"
Blindfolded eyes and untold white lies
Fill my head with all their sunny thoughts and windy wails and cries
If you notice me staring off into space
I'm thinking about singing you to sleep on a Sunday
I swear it was ten 'o clock just a minute ago
The shadow on the wall just won't quit, you know
Please carry me onto tomorrow
Because I'm missing your smile, it haunts me
But I'll stay right here til the sun will freeze indefinitely
And now we've got ourselves a family
and can't get our brains to calm the seas
the lonely music in our house
lets me believe that you have gone
and keeps me low like our heads have hung
she keeps me low like our setting sun.
"Now she's a little boy in Spain playing pianos filled with flames. On empty rings around the sun, I'll sing to say my dream has come."
