i step out of the airport and smell the fresh air and it makes me smile, i missed home. i take out my phone and call Robert, who is supposed to be picking me up

"hello? Rebound? where are you"

"Lincoln Park Airport, like you told me"

"oh my go- you dumb fuck, i said Newark" i say placing my hand on my forehead

"oh fuck, i'm sorry dude"

"its cool. i'll get an uber, ill see you soon"

"alright love you, see you soon"

"love you too" i say hanging up

i wait for my uber and 20 minutes later i'm in the car, i'm really anxious to see everyone again. what will it be like when i see Mattia.

i finally get to the house and it's pitch dark but my Aunts car is there. huh? weird? i get everything out of the uber and walk to the door. i placed down my bag to get my keys. i unlock the door and almost trip due to how dark it was. i finally find a light switch and...

"SURPRISE !"everyone yells
"wtf" i jump back

i see Robert, Kairi, Alejandro, Alvaro, and Roshaun.

"oh my god, you motherfuckers" i say smiling and running to hug them. i cried a bit, i missed theses fuckers so much. we just enjoyed our little party all night. they left eventually and i went to my room to lay down.

i walk into school after being away. it felt so weird. i walk into my first period and take my seat. i put my head down when i heard a familiar laugh. it was Mattia. when he saw me his smile dropped slowly and he stopped. i gave him a little smile and it was like a light came back to him. he returned with a little wave and sat down a few seats away
*ding* *ding*

i put my phone down and just focus on class. i could feel him looking at me a couple times. class ended and i went to my locker to get my Chemistry book?

"hey Al" it was the boys, minus Mattia
"hey, what's up" they had concerned looks on their faces.
"how are you and him" he said looking over to Mattia who was sitting alone on a bench, waiting for the others.
"uhh i haven't really spoken to him you know"
"it's almost been 4 months, and he's changed" i say closing my locker
"how can you tell?" Ale slaps Kairi as he said that
"he looks different, he...laughs different. he's a stranger to me" i say looking over at him
"damn" one of them said

he looked so miserable, how does that work? he cheated on me and chose Cynthia over me. why is he the one whose...broken ?

"i've gotta go guys, i'll see you later" i say walking away

it's 7:49 and i just woke up from a nap. i decide to do some homework so i get up to get my bag. as i open it a piece of folder up paper falls out
