The Stranger Number

It's you......

The first thing I felt was a gentle shaking.

"....teen. Wake up Thirteen! Please!......" begged a familiar voice. I was shocked when everything clicked. I sat up and wrapped my arms around them. She jumped but quickly hugged back. This was Eleven.

After a few minutes Eleven pulled away from the hug and held me at arms length. "Are you okay?" she questioned. I nodded to assure her that I was fine, even if I wasn't really.

I tilted my head to the side, in a confused way.

"I killed the Demogorgon and ended up here." Eleven answered. I gave a half nod as I processed everything. "And my new friends call me El, sort for Eleven. I can call you Theo, sort for Thirteen." Now I was completely lost. I tilted my head further to the side, my eyes glinting a curious orange.

Eleven noticed my confusion and decided to explain everything. A while later everything made sense. Though hurt soon filled me. My eyes glistening black. Was I not Eleven's 'friend?' Why didn't she look for me? Did she just think I was gone so she gave up on me? Many similar questions plagued my mind

We were stuck in the upside for a long time. We mostly lived off my powers and scavenging skills. One day El and I were exploring the forest-ish place when a screech filled the air. The monster was back. Eleven and I linked hands and took off away from the screech.

As we were running, I saw a tree with a weird looking hole. I realized it was a way out and pulled Eleven towards it. She saw the opening and realized what it was too.

Just as we thought we were safe, we heard the creature right behind us. I thought quickly and knew what I had to do.

I pushed Eleven towards the opening and turned to face the monster. As I looked over the creature, preparing to fight, I noticed it was a different one then before.

"Thirteen! I'm not leaving without you!" Eleven yelled at me. I used my powers and pushed her through the hole with a gust of wind.

I watched Eleven disappear through the gate before quickly closing it. I turned back to the monster and stunned it with lightning. I ran, knowing I would do everything to try and escape and find Eleven.
