Chapter 6: Just You Wait

[*Zenitsu's P.O.V.]

I'm all wrapped up... I thought to myself as I heard Chuntaro chirping ontop of my head. A bunch of people wearing black and white clothes while their face was covered and a familiar girl from The Final Selection wearing a similair hairpin from girl before walked up to the scene, seemingly cleaning up the place. Do they go to the butterfly mansion too?" One of the clean-up person asked to the butterfly hairpin girl as she simply replied, "Yes. Take the wounded to my place" then she stated calmly, "I'll take care of the demons nearby, so you can work without fear"

I looked around and all the spider creatures and the near-to-turning once were all wrapped up like me, yet I couldn't see (Y/N) anywhere leading me to feel a bit worried. Maybe she went to another direction.... I comforted to myself, But.... she said she would protect me... I remembered her words, she stated it with honesty as her soft beautiful face gave me a small reassuring smile almost melting into pure kindness and fondness.

I saw one of the clean-up guys take a Nichrin Sword off the ground, its light blue blade glinted from the moonlight that touched it. The sound that came from it sounded familiar for some odd reason. I didn't know why she stated such a thing to me with all honesty, maybe she just naturally cared for everyone's safety deep inside? And I'm no exception, after all she seemed so determined to work under the Demon Slayer Corps. Maybe she lost sight of me, That's why we had split up..... I told to myself, I mean... I ran away from her anyway.

Soon we were taken by The Kakushi and were brought to the Butterfly Mansion.

"I have to drink this five times a day?! NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" I exclaimed before I started to whine even more about the medicine even doubting it would help with my shrunken limbs. "Please, Be quiet..." The little girl told me as I continued sulking, "I want answers! What happens if I miss a dose?! Tell Me!!"

Suddenly I heard two pairs of footsteps and three bundles of human noises, "Is that guy still fussing?!" Aoi growled before I heard Tanjirou's worried voice, "Zenitsu!"

"WILL YOU PLEASE PIPE DOWN!" Aoi scowled at me finally losing her patience as I yelped in fear and shocked before she continued scolding me as I laid on my bed, hiccuping. Soon she walked away from me growling and stomping as I sobbed under the comfort of the sheets of my bed.

"Zenitsu?!" I screeched in panic before turning to the owner of the voice, which was Tanjirou. I almost forgot he was here, because of Aoi... "Are you hurt? Are you alright?! So you came to the mountain then!!" Tanjirou exclaimed with a concerned voice all at once as I teared up seeing him with scratches and injuries.

"T-Tanjirou......." I called out before hugging him, explaining what happened to me and all the bad things I had to go through, even complaining about Aoi before she glared at me with a murdurous intent as I yelped. "What about Inosuke? Have you seen Murata? Where's Kanada?" He asked obviously concerned for everyone

"I don't know who Murata is... But Inosuke is right here" I stated before turning to where Inosuke was before Tanjirou when to Inosuke, hugging him as one of the Kakushi was disgusted and frantic. "Inosuke! I'm glad you're alright!! I'm sorry I couldn't help you!"

Inosuke was quiet for a moment before he spoke, "that's okay. don't worry about it." Tanjirou went silent from the change of Inosuke's voice before I explained him the details I knew as he grew even more worried about Inosuke's health. "I think he's depressed but his all soft now, Which is really funny" I snorted before I started chuckling uncontrollably.

"Why are you laughing so weirdly?" Tanjirou suddenly asked as I stopped laughing, feeling attacked before getting send into silent as I remembered about (Y/N), "And.... Kanada...." I spoke out before starting to feel a heavy feeling, "She was the one who convinced me to go to the mountain... We went in together, but.... We split up." I started before continuing as I lowered my head, looking down at my arms, "I don't know what happened to her...." I whispered as Tanjirou also became silent.

We all took rest and recovered, and soon I was able to meet Murata. Apparently he helped Tanjirou and Inosuke back at the mountain and was even invited to the Hashira Meeting to report about what happened at Mount Natagamo. He even complained about how scary The Pillars were even though he's taken in by one to recover. So when Kocho-san arrived, he instantly left and cowered in fear. Guess I'm not the only one... I snorted in my mind.

Then Kocho-san talked about something called Rehabilitation Training that Tanjirou and Inosuke will do tomorrow. After that everyday Tanjirou and Inosuke would come back looking like they just came from hell, they wouldn't even talked to me!

"What happened? What's wrong?" I asked to them as they started to drape their blankets over themselves, ready to lay in bed probably forever, they only replied to me with groans, "huh?" I voiced out before Tanjirou finally replied, "sorry...." I only wailed, trying to convince him to reply and answer my questions about the training since I would join them tomorrow, but to no avail.

I hid behind Tanjirou as we travel towards the training room as I whined in fear. Soon we reached the room and Aoi explained the basics to me. Realizing what they went through, I raised my hand, "Excuse me, May we have a moment?" I asked before Aoi replied in confusion, "Do you have a question?"

"No, It's just..." I mumbled out, "Come on, you two" I told to Tanjirou and Inosuke as Inosuke blandly spoke, "nope" angered I yelled at them as everyone gave me a surprised look before I grabbed Tanjirou and Inosuke at the back of their clothes as I dragged them on the ground, "COME ON LOWLIFES!! YOU SCUM!!!" I shouted at them viciously before Tanjirou yelped in pain.

Once I dropped them outside I scold at them for fooling be as Tanjirou looked at me with a horrified face as he helped Inosuke up. For once, all of the anger and hatred that build up inside of me ever since that fight was brought out. Even though, I myself doesn't know the reason why all this anger and hatred started to build up from....

After all a long talk with the two of them we returned inside and trained. A lot of things happened while training....

The next day we trained again, I couldn't help but feel drained for some reason. It didn't surprised me though, It was a feeling I was unintentionally covering up while we were recovering. When we opened the door that draining feeling disappeared like a bubble when I heard a soft voice giggle, "I just wanna thank you guys too for taking care of me!"

I saw (Y/N) standing there, alive. I couldn't help but tear up before I leaped towards her, hugging her leg.

"KANADA-CHAN~~~~~~"
