Jake was furious and went to strangle David but Rachel stopped him, she knew they were alike and just because Jake hugged her and consoled her doesn't mean he was there for her, she knew he still didn't trust her it was just an instinct to be a man and to try to be there for her but when she really needed him he was not there for her because he didn't trust her enough and even now she knew all this was temporary he still believed she cheated on him.
She finally realised she has to be responsible for her own happiness and stop depending on anyone because a women can face any hardship and survive, not all men are wrong but there are men like Jake and David who are egoistic and stubborn they never realise their mistake they blame the women, she was finally done with both.
She finally came up with a solution she has to move and uproot her life again so she can have a new beginning.
