"That's unsettling. I don't like this," Izuku confessed immediately. Pure angel Shouto just didn't look normal. He tried to imagine what all demon Shouto would be, but it was equally unsettling.
"Do you have two horns and a halo?" was his next question. Shouto morphed back to his standard appearance and shook his head.
"I have half a halo and one horn," he pointed. The horn identical to Dabi's and, sure enough, just half of a halo there. Izuku couldn't stop himself from touching the beam of light. Shouto flinched. It just ended without reason. Strange.
"Because angels can't alter their appearance, scars don't exist. So only half of my face was impacted by my father's rage..." he explained, reaching up to touch his scar. "Other scars are also only half there."
"You have more scars?" Izuku gasped. "I thought it was just the one."
"Yes, you can't survive in Hell without getting a scar or two. No matter how much people try to protect you," Shouto unbuttoned a few buttons on his shirt and slid the collar down over his shoulder. Just enough of his chest was revealed to show the overlapping layers of scars.
"Demons use weapons in Hell?" Izuku reached out to touch a bullet wound.
"Demons prefer to keep their skills secret. So there are a lot of weapons and things circling around from the human world," Shouto shivered. Izuku's hand was a bit cold.
"Why would they attack you? Technically you're one of the sons of Satan, right?" Izuku frowned. Shouto shook his head again.
"I'm Dabi's half-brother. He is the only known son of Satan. We have different mothers," he whispered the last bit, not wanting to remember Dabi's confession of what happened to his angel mother.
Izuku barely listened to Shouto's explanation. He was entranced by the half-and-half male's body. He unbuttoned Shouto's shirt further and examined the straight line down the center of his chest. It wasn't drawn but you knew it existed because scars that looked like they covered much more area suddenly stopped. Izuku traced the line starting from the center of his chest and moving down his torso.
"Hm," he pondered, reaching the hem of Shouto's pants. He hadn't heard any of Shouto's objections or comments. He was lost in his own world. He looked back at Shouto's face, which was a bright shade of red and a small flame rested on his cheek where a blush would be. "Is your hair down there also half-and-half?" Izuku's innocent voice and curiosity only made the situation worse for Shouto. His flame grew and he ultimately hid his face in his hands. Even Dabi wasn't immune to the question. He flamed up a bit and facepalmed. This angelic idiot. Think before you act, damnit!
"If you don't tell me I'll just have to find out myself," Izuku moved his hand to unbutton Shouto's pants but the half-demon grabbed his hand in both of his. There had to be a limit somewhere for how innocently ignorant this former angel was.
"Please don't do that," Shouto requested. "Not only is that highly embarrassing but you said so yourself you didn't know how you felt about me. Don't provide mixed messages through your seemingly innocent inquiries about my physical appearance. I have limits, Izuku," his flame dwindled and Shouto returned to his calm and collected exterior.
"I didn't mean to hurt your feelings," Izuku lifted his hand with Shouto's and intertwined their fingers. "But, I tend to get physically attracted before I get romantically involved. I'm not sure why it works that way...maybe it's just a me thing." Dabi nodded and crossed his arms. He remembered Izuku muttering a few things under his breath here and then. Dabi didn't mean to eavesdrop or watch this shitstorm...he was just invested in their relationship now and had nothing better to do. Also, Izuku would totally notice if he moved off of this nightstand and Dabi couldn't have God coming back to haunt him.
