As I was watching the game my phone started to vibrate causing me to look down and see Adalynn calling me.
Pressing the decline button I drop my phone in my lap and continued to watch the game. Once the game went on commercial my phone started ringing again, sighing I answer it.
"Why you keep calling me man". I ask cutting the tv down.
"Meet me at the Chinese buffet in 30 minutes". She said as I looked at the tv.
"For what". I ask with my face scrunched up.
"Can you just meet me there". She asked with a sigh.
"I'll be there". I said before hanging up grabbing the remote I record the rest of the game before standing up and grabbing my keys.
Walking out of the house I lock the door and go over to the car getting in. Starting it up I back out and pull off.

Pulling into the parking lot I cut the car off and get out making my way inside the building.
I look around before spotting Adalynn in the back. I let the host know where I was going and walk towards her.
Taking a seat in front of her she looks up from her phone smiling at me and it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen but a nigga not falling for it.
"Hey". She said placing her phone in the table.
"Wassup what we here for". I ask leaning back into my seat.
"You not going to eat". She asked and I shook my head.
"I don't eat Chinese food". I said shaking my head and she nodded.
"I asked you to come today because I wanted to talk". She said staring at me.
"Well I wanted to talk about the marriage". She said and I sighed.
"Why you got to do all that every time I bring it up". She asked with her face frowned up.
" Because I'm not feeling this shit and you bring it up every time we talk". I said clasping my hands together on the table.
"What's so bad about me that you aren't willing to give it a try". She asked tilting her head to the side.
"Ain't nothing bad with you shawty I just don't like that my parents got to pick who I marry for me". I said with a shrug.
"Why don't we give it a try it won't be that bad". She said as I looked off to the side.
"Man what do you see in me that makes you want to be with me". I asked staring at her as she ate some of her rice.
"You're a lost soul and I want to help you". She said as we looked at each other.
"Ain't shit wrong with me and we can give it a try but I ain't gone make shit easy". I said and she nodded letting me know she understood.
"Are you going to get rid of that girl". She asked tilting her head to the side.
"Yeah I'll try but she ain't gone like this shit and she gone want to talk to you". I said and she started laughing.
"You know what set up the meeting so we can have an understanding you don't even have to be there". She said and I shook my head.
" Nah I'm gone be there cause she liable to beat yo ass". I said laughing as she glared at me.
"Ha ha ha and what makes you say that and I'm not going into the meeting with the intention of putting my hands on the girl we're grown". She asked tilting her head to the side.
"Cause you don't look like the type to fight". I said with a shrug.
"I didn't know there was a type". She said looking at me and I felt my phone vibrate causing me to look down and see my girl was texting me.
"When you trying to do the meeting". I ask still looking down at my phone.
"I have work so In a few days". She asked and I nodded acting as if I was listening to her.
"Who's that". She asked causing me to look up.
"What". I ask with my face scrunched up.
"I said who...is...that". She said leaning closer into the table.
"It's my girl". I said and she pushed her chair back standing up.
"What you doing man". I ask watching her grab her things.
"I'm leaving". She said walking away and I stood up following her.
"For what though". I ask as she got in her car starting it up and rolling down the window.
"Duty calls". She said reaching over cutting the air on.
"What you mean duty calls you work with 12". I ask and she started laughing.
"No I'm talking about my job but I have to go so set that meeting up and let me know when it's going to happen". She said rolling the window up and pulling off.
Shaking my head I walk over to my car and get in. Starting it up I pull off towards my girls house.
