Ville sat on the tour bus. They’d just finished off their show in Perth and it was almost 12 in the morning. He was tired to say the least. He flopped on his bed and pulled his phone out of his pocket. Scrolling through his contacts, he stopped at Bella’s name. Calculating the time difference he thought that it’d be around 12 or 1 if she was still in Finland, so he decided not to interrupt her lunch and call when he wasn’t almost asleep. He put his phone back in his pocket and allowed his eyes to close and let himself drift off into a deep sleep.
Bella exited the elevator, Jukka and Jarppi following.
“Where are you off to?” Jukka asked.
“Lunch” she replied.
“By yourself?” Jarppi asked.
“Who would come with me?” she muttered and kept walking out of the hotel.
“Join us” Jukka said.
“What?” she stopped and looked at him.
“Come with us to dinner. Well, if you don’t mind just going to a thai fast food place” he said, shrugging.
“You want me to come to lunch with you?” she asked.
“Well, sure” Jarppi chimed in.
“Ok” she said slowly, nodding.
“Come on” Jukka laughed, grabbing her arm and dragging her to a taxi that was stopped outside the hotel. They got in, so the two guys had obviously arranged it, and Jarppi gave an address. It was silence for a few moments as they drove the busy Finnish road.
“So, how is Ville? Speaking of him, where is he?” Jukka asked.
“What? Ville?” Bella looked shocked.
“Your boyfriend” Jukka chuckled.
“How should I know where he is?” she shrugged. “How do you know I’m dating Ville?” She asked.
“Number 1, you’re all over the news. THIS JUST IN! FINANCIAL MINISTER’S DAUGHTER AND ROCKSTAR VILLE VALO DATING!. Number 2, Ville speaks about you. A lot. Number 3, we know EVERYTHING” Jarppi grinned.
“When do you talk to Ville?” Bella asked, confused.
“When we call, or when he calls us. Or when we run into each other” Jukka shrugged.
“You’re friends with him?” she asked.
“Haha, yeah. You only just now know this?” Jukka laughed.
“Apparently” Bella sighed. “What does he say about me?”
“Normal things. What you’re doing, if you are doing something together, stuff like that” Jarppi shrugged.
“Why don’t you know where he is?” Jukka asked.
“He’s somewhere in Australia. Will be for the next month” Bella replied.
“Oh, I thought that was next month” Jarppi said as the cab came to a halt. Jukka insisted on paying, and finally Bella gave up the argument letting Jukka hand over the mere 12 euro’s. They turned and walked into a small Thai place where Jukka and Jarppi sat down. Jukka rolled his eyes and tapped the seat next to him, indicating Bella was to sit. She realised this and did as she was instructed. A waitress came to them immediately, seeing Bella, and they ordered their drinks, then their food.
“So, sorry for before in your room” Jukka chuckled.
“It’s fine” Bella assured, smirking.
Ville couldn’t sleep. He didn’t know where Bella was or what she was doing and it was absolutely killing him. So at 2am, Australia time, he got out his phone and pressed Bella’s contact. It rang a couple of time before he finally heard her voice.
“Hello?” She asked. He could hear people in the background, she definitely wasn’t back at his tower.
“Bella” Ville said.
“What?” she became serious.
“Are you ok?”
“Why wouldn’t I be?” she asked.
“Where are you?”
“Why do you care, Ville?” She sighed.
“Because, I miss you”
“Suuuure you do”
“Where are you?” he repeated.
“I’m at a thai place.”
“In Hels-“
“Yes, in Helsinki” she said.
“Alone? Lunch by yourself?”
“No, I’m with a couple people” she said, honestly.
“Who are they?”
“Ville, it’s none of your business” She said, sternly.
“Do I know them? Tell me that much” he pleaded.
“Yes, you do. Now I’m hanging up. It’s rude to be on the phone when I’m with people” and with that she did in fact hang up.
“Sorry for that” she said to Jukka and Jarppi as their food was served.
“It’s fine” Jukka smiled as they all began to eat.
Ville couldn’t help but wonder who she could be with. He pushed the thoughts away and lay back down, falling asleep much easier now he knew she was ok.
