Chapter 3: A new home?

After what happened with Adam, I had to get out. That's why I climbed out of the window and went to my favourite place, the park. I sat down by the pond and fed the ducks, I only wished that my family and I came here before they died in that fire.

I was concentrated watching the ducks that I didn't realize someone come up behind me, it was mr Conrad.

"What do you want?" I asked coldly, I don't want to leave and I didn't want him making things worse.

"I know about you Alice." He said. What did he mean, I'm nothing special.

"What? There is nothing about me that you should know, and even if you did, I think I would have a pretty good idea of what you're talking about." I frowned looking at him.

"I saw what happened with the boy, Adam? You have a gift, how could you not know that?"

Then I remembered, all the weird things that happened when I was mad. When I was scared or sad, I'm a monster.

"I can help you." He said softly, "that's why I need you to come with me."

"I'll hurt people." I told him, "I didn't even notice, I thought it was normal, but I need help."

"Alice, you will learn control, please be apart of our family, my wife Abigail, step daughter Kinsey and my son Jake. You just need a bit of love in your life to control."

I understood and nodded, he took me back to Miss Matthew's house.  There they told me to pack my things and I saw Adam again.

He was smirking at me and I shuddered at his expression, I ran past him into my room, but he had to follow me.

I was getting annoyed, "WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME!"

He just smirked and pinned me to the wall once again, however, before he had a chance to do anything, I kicked him in his private placed and placed my hands on his neck making it burn.

"You really are a freak!" Adam shouted as he staggered backwards. I ran to my room and started packing.

"Control it Alice, keep it in you." I muttered to myself. I don't want to hurt anyone. I sighed and finished as I went downstairs. I saw Adam and he gave me a death glare as well as a smirk, what was he planning?

Anyway, I went with Conrad to his car and we were off. It was a 10 minuute drive, but felt like 10 years, when I got to his house, I saw a gigantic house, more like a mansion. I got out of the car and went behind Conrad as the door opened for him. There I saw 3 people by the door with grim expressions except one. The boy.

"Alice, this is my wife Abigail, your new mother, this is your new step sister Kinsey, and this is my son, your new brother, Jake." He introduced everyone, but Jake was the only one who came and shook my hand to properly say hello.

"I'll show Alice? Was it, to her room?" Kinsey asked. Conrad nodded and Kinsey grabbed my arm and pulled me upstairs. When I got to a room, she punched me in the face and threated me, "I am the favourite in this family, my step dad told me you're special, so if you dare take my place, I will take you down. You got that?" She asked sweetly. 

I nodded and stayed in my room, creating a blizzard within and started to cry.
