Red Like Ruby (Mostly RubyxDyrroth)

"Very smooth." Ruby commented accepting the bouquet and taking a piece of apple into her mouth and scoffing at him.

"May I join you?"

"Can I stop you if I say no?" The maiden answered sarcastically making the demon once again chuckle.

"You know you can't." He answered before taking a seat beside her.

"So how have you been?" He asked as he wrapped an arm around her waist. Ruby returned to her reading and only ignored her companion who started eating the sandwich she prepared.

"I'm fine. I woke up fine, I didn't get sick the past few days and I always eat healthy. Monsters don't attack my house as often, actually they don't show up at all, and you?" she answered, her attention still buried to her book.

"I'm all good don't worry about me. You're the only one that matters for me." He said as he started stroking her smooth tangled silver hair.

"Your hair is a mess, let me fix it for you." He offered caressing her soft locks. Ruby only moan an approval and kept her attention on her book. She told him that her hair brush and hair tie is in her basket and he collected them to start with his task.

Dyrroth removed her bonnet and brushed her soft locks. He started untangling the knots in her hair and removed the stray leaves and twigs that got caught in. Ruby's hair twist in beautiful ring-like curls which makes it quite hard to unravel from the knots. After smoothening her tresses, Dyrroth buried his face in her silver locks and sniffed it's aromatic rose scent.

"I love your hair." He praised before placing a kiss on her soft tresses. He took a portion of her hair from the left side of her head and started braiding it. He did the same thing to the other side of her hair and joined the two behind her head and tied them together. He picked up a few blue orchids from the bouquet he gave her and inserted them in her braid to decorate her plain silver locks making it appear more majestic.

He pulled away to take in the full view of his work and smiled as the result satisfied his taste. "I'm done with your hair. Wanna see it?" He asked as he arranged her curls.

"Yes, that would be nice." Ruby replied looking up from her book. Dyrroth took two mirrors from her basket and handed her one. He held one in front of her hair making it reflect from the glass. Ruby lifted hers and positioned it so that it reflects the image that his mirror held. She smiled at the beautiful design he had done on her hair and praised him.

"It's very beautiful. Thank you." She said, handing him back the mirror which he returned on her basket.

He lifted her from her seat and laid her on his lap making the maiden protest but unable to oppose him. Dyrroth wrapped his arms around her waist and laid his chin on top of her shoulders. The demon sighed tiredly and exhaled in relief as he smelled her scent. His muscles loosened as he held his beloved close to his chest.

"It's been a torturous week to be far away from you, I would have brought you along but I know that I'll only put you in danger. Rising an uproar against Moniya is very tedious but satisfying." He complained burying his face on the crook of her neck.

"Killing all those monsters is so tiring, especially those along your way here. I have to soak in their blood for hours in combat and the terrible smell is really hard to remove, it's so putrid and you don't let me get close if I smell bad because I'd make you puke. There's just no end to their numbers but all of it is worth it if I can protect my wife and child. This little one better be a darling to daddy when she comes out." Dyrroth mused as he stroked her pregnant belly with a barely obvious baby bump growing in it.

"I'm sure that she'd be as stubborn and as hard-headed as her father." She said looking back at him.

"But just as strong and brave." She added placing her hand on top of his where a golden ring glinted from her finger.

"I just love you so much." He proclaimed kissing her cheek. "Can I sleep on your shoulder for a while? Daddy is really tired."

"You won't be very comfortable in that position, Dy. Come, I'll let you sleep on my lap."

"Is that really okay? It won't hurt you or the baby, right?" Dyrroth asked worriedly caressing her belly gently.

"We'll be fine. Our little rose is not fragile and her mommy wouldn't want her loving daddy uncomfortable." Ruby smiled pecking him on his cheeks.

"Thank you, darling." Dyrroth lifted himself from behind her and laid his head on her soft lap. Ruby started playing with her lover's dark blue hair and popping an apple slice in her mouth. She pulled a strawberry from the container and offered it to the demon who opened his mouth to accept the fruit. Ruby smiled and fed herself one as well. 

They often say that demons are never satisfied, their greed is limitless. They always take and take and take away the most valuable things and never plow for their reap but he proved all of them wrong. He wasted no effort to win the affections of his beloved Ruby, he fought along with her and fought for her in the ML tournament never using a single dirty method against her other lovers to win her affection and when he had proven his worth and displayed the magnitude of his affection towards her, she accepted him and later on agreed to marry him.

He stared at her beautifully peaceful face and smiled up at her. He lifted his hand and caressed her cheek affectionately.

"Sing us a lullaby. Let's practice for when our little one comes out." Dyrroth suggested brushing his face on her warm belly and kissing it softly.

"Very well."

His head started lifting from her lap and inching closer to hers. His lips connected with her soft red ones in a passionate kiss, warming up their hearts and bringing absolute bliss towards each other. His heart hammered in his chest in exaltation. Ruby is his wife and she carries their child in her womb, nothing can be more perfect for him in his whole life than this. He really wish that everything stays even just for a little while more.
