"I- I can't remember anything?" I was confused, this is not what I thought what my evening would be like.

"You are telling me, that you stole a $1000 bracelet and you forgot about it?" The lady officer snapped at me.

Of course, I didn't forget about it.

"I told you I am a kleptomaniac. It just happened!" I had a strong urge to roll my eyes but I kept in. My curly brunette hair was tickling the side of my cheek and the handcuffs weren't helping either.

The officer, which I found out her name was Carol by her name tag, looked at me with calculating eyes, as if trying to catch my lies. Beside her, the male officer, James spoke up. "Do you have any proof about having the disorder?"

"Yeah, I do. The papers are at my home. Let me out, and I will bring you the papers." This time I actually rolled my eyes. I can tolerate stupidity to some extent.

"Well I could but you are not quitting that attitude of yours," Carol growled at me.

For fuck's sake.

I looked around. The James character looked at me as if he could see right through me. yeah, sure. His phone went off and he answered it without taking his eyes off of me. I scowled at him.

This is getting annoying, I just went out to take a stroll around the city and got distracted. Is it my fault that I am a kleptomaniac?

I am probably grounded for life.

"What is your name again?" James asked me. "Lydia," I answered monotonously. He raised an eyebrow. "Full name?" "Lydia Johnson."

"Uhuh. Well, your parents are outside, you've been bailed. You are free to go." He said while taking off my handcuffs.

"Now what? Huh? Do you believe me now?" I asked Karen or whatever her name was, who glared at me. I gave her a sarcastic smile and left the place. Already nervous about my parents.

I am not gonna hear the end of it.

"We need you to go to the management center, Lydia." My mother said to me sternly.

"Can we talk about it tomorrow? I am not in a mood right now." This had been going on for a month now. I mean I don't have any problem going to the management center but that place makes me depressed. It was a nice place but it wasn't for me.

"Lydia." My mom gave me a look. "What?" I whined. "Mom I am really tired. I want to sleep right now."

"M'kay. You can go and take a bath, I will bring you dinner to your room. Your father will come home late so be ready in the morning to listen to some lecture." She said while cleaning the living room muttering something about Aud and Ash. "THANKS, MUM! I LOVE YOU!" I yelled while going upstairs.

I went into my room to find my siblings lying on my bed. "For god sakes, you guys don't have your own bedrooms?"

They both looked at each other then at me, Audrey rolled her eyes. "Where were you? You said Maya was coming over?" Asher and Audrey were twins and 15.

I casually sat on my chair while tying my hair into a bun. "I spend the last two hours in jail after taking a bracelet worth $1000."

Asher gasped looking at me. While Audrey gave me that look that said 'you are joking right?'

"I am not joking." I grinned at them, answering Audrey's expressions. Asher smirked at me. "So my sister is a badass now?"

I scoffed. "Yeah, a kleptomaniac and a badass."

"Well, what happens to the bracelet?" Audrey asked.

I sighed. "Dad bought it and somehow convinced the store manager by giving extra money."

Audrey gave me a knowing look. Although Asher and Audrey were twins, I was much closer to Aud than Ash. Probably because we have the same girl problem. She, after Maya knew me the best. She saw right through me, she was the best to go to advice for. Also a really great baker. Probably will become a psychologist who feeds cookies to her patients to make them feel better.

Asher and Audrey were similar only in a physical sense. Their personality was the opposite. Asher is the popular guy who is immature and stupid, while Audrey is the "nerd" who kept to herself, reading books and painting. Sometimes it scared me how much we looked alike, we were like triplets. Apart from the olive skin tone and brunette hair, the only major difference was eyes. Mine was olive green while the twins had electric blue eyes. I still question myself how they could understand me with just my body language without even looking me in my eyes. They just knew something was up without looking at me in the eye.

"What are you thinking about?" Audrey interrupted my thoughts, with concern written on her face.

"Mom is forcing me to go to that management center again, and honestly I think I need it. I just can't go through the same thing when I was there." I clutched my head. Today was a big day.

Asher scoffed. "You think there's only one management center in our town huh?" Audrey grabbed a pillow and threw at him. "what the fuck was that for?" He groaned.

She rolled her eyes. "You can't say her about the group in a much more nicer way huh?"

"What group? Is this some kind of meditation group? I am not going if its some meditation thing." I groaned loudly. I was on the floor now thinking about how I have no control over my own goddamn mind.

"Hey. Listen to this. My friend Jacob, said to me that his uncle is a kleptomaniac and he's been going to a new management center that's near that diner you always go to, I think we should go and check out?" Asher looked at me with serious eyes.

"I think its a good idea. We can go tomorrow?"

"We will go tomorrow." The twins said simultaneously while looking at each other.

Tomorrow is gonna be one hell of a day.
