All the farmers and agriculturists were taken to the communes and could not oversee the different productions. 3D printed food was the source of all nutrition. The generational geniuses were tasked to harness the materials needed to create these from outside the planet. Even meteorites were not safe.
There was a rumor in town that Pedro had bitten her sister while asleep, but the mother put a band-aid on her and called her clumsy. There was another tale of Bob sneaking in a head of lettuce into his dorm, but officials said it was another drunken and unreliable source.
Some Puerto Ricans down the street were smuggling pork from who knows where. The whole block smelled of "Lechon asado" and bacon. The landlord, who was on a year-long business trip, had returned unexpectedly and threw them off to the streets before the news got to the city officials. It was a shit storm.
