After wars

Prologue ( Anna)

As we heard the bells rung ever one packed there things and rushed out the school doors . it was rare that I would skip out of the school with a smile on my face , but today was a easy day for most of my classes we just watched a movie or took notes .

    Greeting my friends outside we all started to make plains for the weekend . " We should all go to a movie Saturday ." My best friend Taina suggest .  I shrugged I was fine with anything , and everyone in the group seemed to like the ideal . " I guess that settles that ." I spoke up . " Now what to watch ?" we all sat for a moment and serval of my friends suggested  a zombie movie . which in my mind was cheesy but I guess it will do . We all went are separate ways pretty quickly after that since are different buses showed up . 

Hoping onto my bus and popping my headphones into my ears I made myself at home sitting in my seat . It would be  a short ride to my house or so I though it would . I did'nt pay much attetion to things around me but it seemed to take forever to get home . For awhile it seemed we got stopped in traffic and after  few mintues without moving I looked up from my music and cars lined the streets . Everone in the bus seemed to be off put by this ; it wasn't often we get traffic we were a small town and did'nt have allot of people who lived here so the traffic was very od . I put it off just a weird day and went back to my music .

  We finally started moving and soon enough I was home . I grabbed the mail as I walked to my house . the woods behind my house seemed to be quite as I walked passed them , there were no birds , no wind , not even the afternoon squirrls that ran around our yard . I walked around my house to see if are dogs were out and since they did'nt bark when I got off the bus . Getting to the front I was met with a lonely dog house and prouch . Confused I walked inside and was greeted with a fimliar life . Everthing was fine  my mom sat at the table paying bills and to freshly clean poochs takled me to the floor.

   " how was your day Anna " I heard my dads voice call . " It was good , and abit werid "  My dad got up as I restled my husky Dutch off me . " its proabaly just a off day for you ." he spoke helping me up " Maybe ." I replied standing up and heading off to my room but stopping for a moment i turned and asked  " Oh by the way mom dad could I please go to the movies with my friends tomorrow ."  I gave pleading puppy dog eyes in hopes tring to steal a yes from them.It gladly worked as they both said yes i smiled and hugged them . I quickly turned and went to my room to relax for a few. I threw my bag in my desk chair and fell back into my bed . Dutch happily laided next to me . 

  I scrowled through my phone quickly liking random post most mainly consiting of art and random animals . I ended up passing out for a few hours . My dream was sweet but soon it turned horrible as I was abruptly awoken my a loud alert alram that screeched throug my phone .

I did'nt even have a chance to reach through my phone before my mom came rushing into my room and yelled at me to get into the main hallway .  I was very confused and scaried my blooded started to run cold . What could be going on maybe a tornado ? I though as I rushed into the hallway Dutch follwing close behind me As I arrived into the hallway i could see mt siblings had made it back from work . My sister in law and brother held eatchother and my newpths the youngest brother stayed against the wall with his dog i=laid in his lap . MY elder sister sat there crying with my neice in her arms . 

  My fear only grew seeing all of them like this . My dad sooned grabbed me by the arm and pulled me down beside him him and mom held me close . "wh....wha..whats happening? " I questioned I looked at my mom as tears ran down her face . Dad griped my arm and spoke softly "Anna we are all going die . A major bomb will strike us with in less then 5 mintues we were told no one is suppose to surive . A nuclear war has begun ." My breathed hicked as I started to cry . this was all surreal I mean how , why , and who started this . Why had it come to this .

We all laid in the hallway for the most part we though to  our selves . There was nothing left nothing we could do but hoplessly by slaugther. the time drew near and a quickly growing rumble sounded ouside . through sobbing tears of pitty and pain I called Dutch over and he laid his head in my lap he to had fear and confusen in his eyes as the rumbling came closer my families cries grew louder . Soon the sound of rumbling blew our eardrums out and the home around me seemed to stop exsiting . I closed my eyes  toxic gas feeled my lungs and I could feel my fathers grip lossen around my arm till I could'nt it anymore. My chest burned andI could stop gaging and coughing . Ever singal vein in my body wanted to brust and my body felt like it was  engulfed by fire and then stung as if I was being dipped in the coldest ice water . I felt my body fuctions stop working and my breath slow. I laid there slowly choking on my own breath . My mind duled as a warm darkness covered my mind. With one last flentch my mind competely failed and I fail into a void of black light .
